Paperwork piled higher and higher.
Save the trees, huh? Melanie don't think her team leaders had ever thought of that. It was the start of a new hellish week with Monday being the epitome of it all.
Melanie stretched in her swivel chair and reached for her cup.
"Damnit!"
She hissed under her breath. She'd long emptied the cup of instant coffee and had forgotten about it. She stood up from her seat and moved to the break room to get herself something else but she ran into Akimi at the door.
"Oh, Melanie. Are you here for a coffee break too?"
Melanie rubbed the back of her nervously while she replied to Miss Akimi's question.
"Yeah, I was getting a numb butt from sitting all day."
Melanie felt even more stupid from her reply but she was just being honest. Her throat was feeling dry too and it was uncomfortable working like that.
"Hahaha. Here, it's the last one. You can have it."
