Felicy was on her way back from work when she ran into Owen. She closed at four and headed to the twenty-four-hour diner on the next street.
She greeted the owner and some waitresses she knew and ordered her regular food. It was only her drink she changed, she had orange juice and not beer. She already had a splitting headache from staying up last night to complete the numbers on the meeting reports. She didn't want to add a hangover to that.
She had already started eating before she noticed that the diner had another customer four tables away from her. It was Owen.
She ate slowly, and soon he paid and left without a word to her. She sighed, it was better he didn't. She texted her friend who she was meeting up with on Saturday and paid, on her way out she saw him. He stood right there, patiently waiting for her.
"What are you still doing here?"
