"She was captured. "Viola said dejectedly.
"I'm so sorry. I know how close you guys are."
"It's fine Nigel, you don't have to apologise. Besides, I'm going to rescue her."
"That's great! So, who are they?"Nigel asked, curiously staring at the strangers behind her.
"Oh that's Mordecai-" She said while pointing to each one of them. "And the other two are-"
"Your Majesties" The knight cut her off."You're alive!!!"
"Archie, you weren't killed!?" both princes said in relief and surprise.
"Killed? " Archie asked clearly confused. "I was sent by your father to investigate the kingdom of Bonehelm. Unfortunately , I never made it to the kingdom's gate. I turned back the moment I knew there was trouble and even picked up Miss Cecelia on the way back. What happened at the castle? "
"Its a long story, you see....". Both princes narrated what had happened at the castle leaving all the people listening shocked. "Mother and Father stayed back to fight King Alfred."
"I'm sure that they'll be fine, they're the strongest people i know. " Archie comforted the princes.
"We hope so."
"Hi I'm Cecelia. Sorry to interrupt you're little sad moment but, aren't we forgetting something? Like I don't know, maybe the strange creatures wreaking havoc and killing people outside! "
"Cecelia is right. Where did all these monsters even come from? "Viola asked. "Mordecai? "
Everyone in the cellar turned to stare at Mordecai who had already made himself comfortable. His hood was back on and he was sitting on a sack filled with grains.
"What?" he asked. "Why is everyone staring at me? Did I do something wrong? "
"You said you knew about the monsters " Viola said.
"Oh right....They were brought to your kingdom by Alfred, the Lich King and only his most trusted and loyal servant Elenor is capable of summoning them from the land of the dead."
