Chapter 37 - Chappie 37

"That's it? Those are the so called life saving, destiny changing weapons of legend you spoke so highly of ?"Cecelia said disappointed. "It's official, we are all going to die."

"Let me demonstrate " Mordecai said.

"Knock yourself out."

"Nigel, since you're an elf; well a half elf. I think this weapon would suit you better". Mordecai handed Nigel an earring. It was a golden earring which had a midnight blue gem on it.

"Yeah, I'm not exactly a jewellery guy....so" Nigel began but was cut off by Mordecai before he could even refuse.

"Just take it!!" Mordecai shoved the earring into Nigel's palms and forced him to hold it.

"So....what now?" Nigel asked. Mordecai forcefully grabbed Nigel's finger and pricked it with a needle. A tiny drop of blood leaked out of the skin on finger that was pricked.

"Ouch! what the hell man?!" Nigel hissed in pain. Mordecai ignored him and put the drop of blood from Nigel's pricked finger on the earring. The gem in the turned from midnight blue to crimson before turning back into its original midnight blue colour.

"Wow, cool party trick. How old do you think we are?"Cecelia grumbled, she was still trying to get used to the fact that they were being attacked by undead creatures and that magic existed. She didn't believe in magic.

Then, the earring began to glow and grow bigger. It kept on growing and growing, till it morphed into a magnificent bow.

It was a black bow which had midnight blue gems embedded all over it. Arrows appeared out of thin air and were unlimited.

"Woah!! This is so cool!"Nigel exclaimed, checking the bow and flexing it while the others stared at the weapon in amazement.

"The reason I put your blood on it is, so it could recognise you as it's master. This means no one else can use the weapon but you or at least not until you die. It would just be an ordinary earring in someone else's hands."Mordecai explained.

"Ohh!! Me next. It's my turn. " Henry ran to Mordecai and held out his hands , staring at him eagerly.
