Ash stooped to the ground looking at his friend fox, "What am I going to call you....hmmmm'
"I know." Slowly picking up his furry companion, "I'll call you Kumiho."
He sat back in his chair with Kumiho in his lap, petting her
"Wait, you are a boy…right?" Ash ponders for a second.
"Eh, doesn't really matter."
"We're gonna be friends till the end."
He laughs
The laugh of the boy slowly echoed into darkness; Lumi was awakened by a drop of water.
She was in a cave held tight by Astra who was still asleep and Kai leaned against a wall near the entrance of the cave probably was "looking out".
Lumi wiggled out of Astra's arm to explore the outside.
The area was filled with huge trees and mushrooms, the morning dew shimmering in the sunlight as the weirdly calming scent of after rain filled the air.
Lumi jumped around for joy
"ugh.....damn I fell asleep." Kai slowly got up from the ground and stretched for a bit.
At least nothing bad happened right Lumi?
He pats Lumi's head, "Time to get Astra up".
Drip
The morning dew fell on Lumi's nose, she licked every single one as they fell.
Lumi felt a hand on her head, "Enjoying yourself Kumiho? Days like these are the best!" Lumi heard a voice and quickly spun around...but she only saw Astra and Kai getting ready to leave.
"Are you ready, Lumi?" Astra picked up her staff.
Lumi looked outside and can't seem to get her friend out of her mind.

Dear Diary
[March 7th,2030]
We are finally getting closer to the end of this damned forest though this area does look way nicer. It would be nice to see some sign of civilization.
Haven't used my magic in a while, I can feel my skills dwindling already anyway I think the book that I have is really interesting and I really wanna see the others though the contents are few and far between...literally.
But I won't let this sway me. I'm still gonna come home and I'm gonna be the second ever leader of an elite class adventure team!

"Kai how much longer.??" Astra complained.
"It might take a few hours to a day."
Astra groaned, "but I'm hungry-" Kai rolled his eyes and kept walking
"Well, you should've eaten the centipede I brought"
"Are you insane? That is disgusting! I'd rather fight a bear" Astra protested.
"Fine, then starve," Kai replied.
Lumi rolled around in the wet grass ahead of them when she got up her fur was puffy, eyes barely visible.
"Awww, you adorable fuzz ball." Astra exclaimed.
"We need to keep moving, we don't have time for this." Kai hurriedly walks past Lumi, "we need to cover as much ground as possible."
Astra pouts and mumbled. "You are a party pooper, know that?" Astra swept Lumi off her paws, "Let's catch up before he leaves us here."

The sunsets as the moon shows its whitening glow
Astra and Kai have fallen asleep by the campfire.
Lumi slowly falls asleep in Astra's arms again.
"Oh, your back Kumiho! I've been looking for u everywhere." Ash said relieved
"Look, a store vendor threw bread at me today!" He held the bread in front of Kumiho.
"At least we have dinner! Although I do wish I could've gotten something meatier for you."
To Ash's surprise Kumiho jumps in excitement and licks him on his face.
"Alright, Alright I'm excited too even though it's just bread." he laughs.
Lumi blinks and she was in another memory of her friend.
He was old and wearing a crown, writing the number 6 on one of the books.
"Hello, my friend." Ash says in a deeper tone
His arm was missing and looks like a husk of a human.
"I'm not the best writer but I try." he chuckles to himself.
Lumi's face turned to shock; she couldn't lose him again.
She jumped on his lap; a soft whimper could be heard from her.
Ash pets Lumi slowly "Don't worry I would never leave you behind."
The sky grew darker and darker until only red and clouds began to form, there was a flash of lightning and the crash of thunder, Lumi now terrified.
As Ash began to speak, she jumped, "I'll see you later...friend." he gave a weak smile
Lumi stayed laying there knows the inevitable outcome, begins to softly cry.
There was a flash of light, Ash and Lumi were sent to a different place.
.... Ash laid dead, his hair spiked and his clothes charred....
In 1000 years, a new legend would be born to ensure that everyone is bound to their fate written in the books
A voice spoke out, Lumi's ears raised attentively.
It whispered, "Find them Lumi.... Dont let the world's fate be once again rewritten."
Lumi jumped up, shivering alleyway somewhere on earth, in the corner of her eyes saw a woman with white hair and brown eyes.
"Astra." The voice called out.
Please. Help us.
