Chapter 11 - Save Amir Naeem (Ch.11)

~Saint Chantria's Palace, The Kalavan Deep~

Chantria shook her head slightly as the memory faded off, as difficult as it was to comprehend,

It was apparent to Chantria that somehow, she had transmigrated into Mira's favorite novel, titled 'Beauty In The Deep'.

And she had transmigrated into the body of Saint Chantria, the character whom Mira had mourned with such great sorrow.

Chantria could not understand just what sort of mix up this was, to have been the one transmigrated into a novel she had never even read.

What happened to Mira or Ian or all the thousands of people that sang praises of the novel?

How come this has not happened to any of the die hard fans, but to her who had not even turned a page of the book instead?

She had only ever heard Mira chatting for hours about the latest episodes with Ian, she had not engaged with the novel or showed interest in it for even a second.

So why exactly was she the one in such a predicament?

If she was going to die, it would have been okay to just die and move on to the afterlife as it happened to everyone else, what was this ridiculous fate?

Chantria felt like pulling her own hair out, no matter how she thought of it, she could not make sense of it.

Chantria was drawn out of her thoughts when the status screen appeared out of thin air before her.

Chantria blinked in surprised, she had not realized she could actually see the status screen visibly like this, she had thought it only existed in her mind.

HAREM MISSION: SAVE AMIR NAEEM!

MISSION LEVEL: HARD

MISSION STATUS: 20% COMPLETED

REWARD: VOICE MODULATION/ 20% BASIC INFORMATION (UNLOCKED)

80% BASIC INFORMATION (LOCKED)

HIDDEN MISSION: HOST REMEMBERS WORLD TRANSMIGRATED INTO.

MISSION STATUS: COMPLETED

REWARD FOR HIDDEN MISSION: HAREM JOURNAL (UNLOCKED)

"Ah, so that was the hidden mission? It seems the hidden missions are always associated to me on a personal level." Chantria noted.

Chantria felt it was rather great that she could get benefits for easy tasks like this, she deserved this much if she was expected to survive her present situation.

As for the harem mission, she would only have to wait until when next Amir Naeem was in trouble.

The status screen then pulled up a new screen that read;

ACCESS REWARD (HAREM JOURNAL) IMMEDIATELY OR

SAVE FOR LATER.

Chantria shook her head slightly, she already felt quite exhausted and intended to return to sleep, her mind had gotten enough shocking revelations to last the entire day,

And so Chantria decided she would leave the basic introduction, the harem journal and the voice modulation for later, it was never too late to see to them when she fully assimilated her current reality.

Chantria reached a hand out and tapped the save for later option, however the status screen only glowed red in response.

Chantria frowned and tried it again, but the result remained the same.

"Is this system faulty?" Chantria asked in annoyance as she repeatedly tapped on the save for later option, all to no avail.

"Fine! Have it your way then!" Chantria exclaimed in frustration as she settled for the 'access immediately' option,

To Chantria's annoyance, it went through immediately and a new screen was pulled up,

Chantria immediately forgot her annoyance as she took in what was written on the screen.

PERSONAL PROFILE OF CONSORT ONE

NAME: AMIR NAEEM

GENDER: KEI

MOST NOTICEABLE TRAITS: SOFT-SPOKEN AND EMOTIONAL.

PRESENT STATISTICS;

MOOD:

SATISFACTION:

AGILITY:

MAGIC PROWESS:

......

The list went on and on and Chantria couldn't get around to reading it all, but Chantria understood this was all about Amir Naeem's present condition.

There were bars at the side of each statistic, like those displayed in games and each were at different levels.

The first thing Chantria noticed was the fact that the bar beside the statistic 'Mood' was at a single red line which Chantria assumed was not good.

However considering Amir Naeem stood accused of her murder and had narrowly escaped execution twice, Chantria decided it would be a lot more odd if he was in a good mood.

The next thing that caught Chantria's eyes however sent her into a state of alarm as that particular statistic blared red with a caution sign at the side.

This statistic read 'WILL TO LIVE', and at the caution sign blaring at the side, Chantria did not need anyone to tell her that Amir Naeem was in danger.

'So this was why I had only accomplished the mission to 20%...all statistics are at an all-time low, Amir Naeem has spiralled into depression, he is going to take his own life!' Chantria realized,

Her eyes narrowed slightly as she jumped to her feet and dashed for the door.

Chantria pulled open the door forcefully, storming out and looking around frantically.

"Chan...you are awake!" A voice Chantria recognized to belong to the red haired man exclaimed,

Chantria barely noticed the four men standing outside her door, or more particularly the two new faces,

Cold rage brewed in her veins as she turned to the muscular man who stood closest to her, not even sparing a glance to the others.

"Where is he?!" Chantria demanded in an cold tone.

"Who?" The muscular man asked in bafflement.

"The guy I pulled out of the water of course! Who else?! Where is Amir Naeem?!" Chantria growled out, her eyes narrowed fiercely.

"Wh... what are you going to do? Are you going to kill him?" Another voice asked, this time a voice Chantria did not recognize.

Chantria did not pay any heed to anyone else, her gaze fixed on the muscular man.

"You will tell me where he is this instant! Or so help me..." Chantria threatened fiercely,

"Confined in his quarters... please don't hurt him." The muscular man reasoned, reaching a hand out to Chantria.

Chantria side stepped the touch of the muscular man, not even taking note of the hurt expression that came over his face,

As though on instinct, Chantria stormed down the halls of what she could only assume was a palace, ignoring the numerous attendants she passed by, till she arrived at a certain closed double doors.

"Confined, you said?! Why is no one guarding the doors?!" Chantria questioned.

"I...I sent them away, I didn't want him feeling imprisoned. Your Grace... please..." The red haired's voice came again, but Chantria merely shoved the door open and stormed in.

Chantria glanced through the large quarters and knew it would take too long to actually search if he was here.

"Amir! Come out here!" Chantria demanded, and after a moment and there was still no response, Chantria knew she would not be getting one.

"He's not here..." Chantria murmured to herself in alarm.

"Your Grace, please let go of this just this once. For us..." The voice Chantria did not recognize pleaded.

"I will...after I get him back alive." Chantria replied distractedly as the wheels turned in her head but she came up with nothing.

"What do you mean get him back alive?" The muscular man asked warily.

Chantria realized her thinking would do no good, she did not have any of Saint Chantria's memories.

If anyone could know where Amir Naeem was, it definitely would not be her but one of the men who had followed her.

"Is there anywhere on this premises Amir would go to if he planned on doing something stupid... like maybe taking his own life?" Chantria asked in a serious tone.
