"Is there anywhere on this premises Amir would go to if he planned on doing something stupid... like maybe taking his own life?" Chantria asked in a serious tone.
Chantria's words seemed to catch the men off guard as the eyes of the muscular man widened.
"The palace is on a cliff! Amir always hid in the garden by the cliff's edge!" The red haired replied first.
"Cliff's edge?" Chantria murmured,
As if on auto pilot, her legs moved of their own accord and just as she had somehow located Amir Naeem's quarters without aid, she ran down the hallways, leading the way to the cliff.
It was already dark as Chantria stormed out the back doors of the castle and through the courtyard knowing the four men followed closely behind her.
The castle was so brightly lit up within that Chantria had not even realized it was night time.
Chantria found she could still see the path quite clearly in the dark and it was not completely dark yet so she hurried ahead, taking twists and turns out of muscle memory till she arrived at the cliff's edge.
Just as Chantria had expected, there he stood, the beautiful silver eyed man she had pulled out from the depths of the ocean...Amir Naeem.
He stood awfully close to the cliff's edge, so close that Chantria felt her heart drop to her stomach.
Chantria heard the audible gasp of horror coming from the red haired man,
The muscular man then made to storm forward but Chantria restrained him with a grip on his wrist.
"We can't just watch him die, Channy. I know he harmed you but please do not ask that of me." The muscular man pleaded,
Chantria frowned at the implications of the muscular man's words.
"And I ran out all this way in search of him just to watch him die? What am I? Some depraved executioner?" Chantria snapped in annoyance before she returned her gaze to Amir.
"He is too close to the edge, any sudden moves and he will tumble off. It will be too late to save him then, we have to get him to come back to us on his own." Chantria summarized.
"But how? He is not in the right mind state right now." The red haired said in a pained tone.
"How would I know?" Chantria replied in a biting tone.
Chantria could not believe she was in such a situation, she herself had just died and she was yet to get over it but now she had to play hero and save someone else.
Amir's lips began moving and Chantria's ears twitched as she picked up the words he was saying from the distance she stood.
"Channy will never forgive me... she already hated me and now I just had to go make things worse. They said it was the poison of the devil's night flower... she must have suffered so much pain, all because of me."
"She would never want me now, I was never desirable to her before, she would hate me now." Amir sobbed out,
'Why is this about me again? You are the one trying to kill yourself, what has it got to do with me?!' Chantria thought in annoyance.
Chantria ran Amir's words through her head, unable to comprehend his meaning.
"What does he mean by I do not find him desirable?" Chantria asked in bafflement.
"Are you asking because you do not know?" One of the two other men Chantria had previously not taken note of their presence asked.
Chantria passed him a fierce glare, however her glare dispersed to be replaced by awe as she took in yet another beauty, with hair seemingly spun from the finest gold,
And eyes a gleaming icy blue with a chilling aura exuded off of him.
Chantria blinked once and then again, but the breathtakingly beautiful man still stared back at her and Chantria realized he was real, just like the other two.
'Focus Chan!' Chantria mentally lectured herself,
There was a man about to jump off a cliff and here she was in awed stun, Chantria shook her head at her own silliness.
"Would I be asking if I knew?!" Chantria snapped at the golden haired beauty.
"Channy doesn't remember." The red haired beauty reminded.
"He believes you do not find him desirable because you have refused to consummate the union." The muscular man explained in a quiet tone.
Chantria blinked once and then a second time, but she still was not certain she had heard the muscular man right, or perhaps she was the one who had understood wrongly and consummate meant a whole other thing out here.
"By consummate you could not possibly mean... have sex?" Chantria asked for clarification purposes, expecting an outraged reaction.
Instead Chantria was the one outraged when the muscular man nodded in confirmation.
'Sex? Why would I have sex with him?! I barely know him!' Chantria thought in outrage before she realized she may not have known Amir Naeem, but for Saint Chantria, it was a whole other story.
"Amir... what is he...to me?" Chantria asked hesitantly, keeping her eyes fixed on the sobbing male incase he made any sudden moves.
"A bonded lover." The golden haired man Chantria had just met replied after a moment of quietness.
Chantria's heart dropped as she heard the words 'bonded lover'.
"So you mean, like a husband?" Chantria asked apprehensively.
"Yes, but even closer than that." The male replied again.
'I am married! No Saint Chantria is married! I am Saint Chantria! My life is over!' Chantria realize in dismay,
Everything was now more complicated than Chantria first thought, she heaved a sigh as she slowly walked towards the sobbing man, stopping at a safe distance so she did not end up startling him.
Chantria sucked in a deep breath, reminding herself that she needed to play nice if she wanted to save Amir's life.
"What makes you think that I do not find you desirable?" Chantria asked aloud, wincing when Amir glanced over his shoulder in shock, nearly toppling off the edge in his sudden movement.
"I...I...you never want me...you always want others instead, but never me...I only wanted you to want me, I didn't know it was poison." Amir sobbed quietly
'Wanting others and not him?' Chantria thought, she was momentarily taken aback by Amir's words.
Suddenly, Chantria realized it, Amir's words could only mean one thing...
'Was I... cheating on my husband?!' Chantria thought with a frown,
It was obvious to her now that this man was about to take his life because of her.
'Aiya... this Saint Chantria, to cheat on such a beautiful man, just what sort of life have you been living???!!!' Chantria thought in annoyance as she suddenly felt like jumping off the cliff herself instead.
