The moment Chantria stepped out of the First Tide hall, she was finally able to release the breath she had not even realised she was holding.
Chantria had left the council to make their decision on her offer, however Chantria already knew they would take it.
Chantria walked down the steps leading up to the doors of the first tide hall, down below Gemi, Dewei and Amir awaited in the courtyard.
While Dewei and Gemi stood, Amir was seated, visibly trembling from head to toe.
But it was no longer just the three of them, Chantria was surprised to find three of her other consorts had also come, Zevon, Irvine and even Kahlel.
The only one who was missing and unsurprisingly so was Jai.
When the three of them had arrived, Chantria was not certain but it provided her an unexpected sense of comfort, to see that they had come.
They all stood in the courtyard and Kahlel was the first to take notice of Chantria's arrival.
