Prolog

The sound of the wind hitting the leaves was frightening; the powerful wind was caused by dozens of wolves chasing each other and collapsing in the forest.

They pursued and encircled the other two wolves. Attacks were unavoidable, and both sides committed crimes.

Elisabeth Neona is the group's queen and the one being hunted at the moment. Her sweetheart, Leon Matteo, and she escaped because they were deemed traitors by their own people.

All of this occurred as a result of Rhys, Elisabeth's brother, trapping them in the scenario of King Adelmo's death. The monarch who ruled before Elisabeth and the father of Elisabeth and Rhys.

"Aren't you tired of racing through this sweltering forest?" Rhys, wolves of tall white size, came to a halt.

Elisabeth took a step back, protecting Leon, who was already badly damaged behind her back. "Remember your position, Rhys. You go after your own queen, and the only penalty is death!"

"Do you still consider yourself a queen? Elisabeth, you are a traitor to the kingdom. You assassinated your own father." Rhys approached the two of them.

They face each other and transform into full-fledged wolves. Elisabeth, with her white feathers sparkling in the sunshine that slipped through the spaces between the trees, was no less lovely than Rhys. Attack and bite each other using each other's canines and claws.

Several groans were heard as a result of flesh scraping each other's claws. Rhys attacked and cornered Elisabeth's body, causing her to be flung against a massive wood.

Rhys approached slowly and steadily, determined not to let Elisabeth go this time. The goal is to assassinate the new queen in order to become the next king.

Leon couldn't remain quiet when he saw his sweetheart was cornered. He stepped up closer, howling an open challenge to Rhys.

Rhys was stopped in his tracks by Leon's wail. The massive black wolf rushed on him from behind. His white back was ripped and bounced a few meters away from Elisabeth.

They were separated by a few seconds. Leon's saliva coated his sharp teeth and the wide gums he was flaunting. Slime dripped wildly, his sharp eyes fixed on Rhys as though ready to devour him. While its long claws are poised to rip the flesh from the enemy's heart.

"You're a powerful fighter, Leon, but you don't deserve to be in this Orlin."

Leon quickly attacked again, resulting in a battle between the two of them. Strike the body with wood, stone, and earth. Tear each other apart.

Despite the fact that Leon was already injured, Rhys leaned against the tree trunk and took a big breath. He realized he couldn't just beat Leon like that. The opponent is not just any ordinary warrior.

"You're fantastic as well. "I'm curious if your ability can truly kill me." Rhys grinned, as if intervening to rekindle Leon's rage.

Leon charged up to him as swiftly as lightning, grabbed Rhys' neck in his hold, and strangled him till his head practically merged with the tree trunk.

"Stop with your nonsense." Leon flung his claws out and prepared to stab Rhys in the chest.

"Leon, stop!" Leon could no longer hear Elisabeth's scream from behind her back. He'd dug his claws in, but they weren't strong enough.

Elisabeth was the first to run in place of Rhys. The claw that was designed to penetrate Rhys' chest instead pierced her chest.

Rhys smirked and whispered into Leon's ear. "Blood will always be thicker than water, Leon." Then howls rang out over Orlin, announcing that the hunt had begun.

Leon could only stare sadly at Elisabeth, who was already dying, and touch her cheek in despair. He murdered his own lover.

Elisabeth clutched Leon's hand tightly with the last of her strength. "You must find your true mate, Leon."
