poppy's Pov
"Poppy!" I heard Colin call out to me from across the street. When I waved at him, he waved back and started walking towards me.
It all happened so suddenly. Colin flew into the air, the blur of a car going by. Everything seemed to be happening in slow motion. His limp body rose up and landed on the ground with a sickening thud. The car's front is completely damaged as it skidded off the road and slammed into a street light. It is hissing and smoking and the driver seemed unconscious.
My limbs were temporarily numb, my body resounding with the force of my terrified heartbeat.
"Colin!" I cried out running towards him. "Look at me." His face looked ashen and there was blood coming out from the side of his head. His arms were already starting to bruise and there were abrasions on his skin. He tried to sit up but he ended up collapsing. I wanted to burst into tears, but I forced them back.
