The past few days, I had been hearing this name non-stop. After I saw him, I realized that apart from his mask, he had nothing else that connected him to the black rat. He was wearing a robe which was now tattered. Cautiously the Black Rat stood up, he looked around him where the half beasts from Zwein's camp and the others were about to break into the fort.
Even though I couldn't see his expression, from his movements it was clear he was furious. This is unavoidable, seeing that all his efforts to build an army of half beasts were now in danger of being lost due to a coup carried out by four of his five subordinate pillars.
"After everything I've done, is this your payback?!"
"What are you doing? You ruined people's lives here, turned us into this. Even if we are stronger then what? We earn our strength by working hard!" Zwein who was in half snake mode approached the Black Rat along with Ritsu, a half beast who was half of lizard.
The situation tilted towards the rebels. The Black Rat seemed to be in a state of urgency. I continued to observe the situation out of curiosity as to what would happen next. The battle stopped for a moment, the people also started to shift their focus to the Black Rat, Ritsu and Zwein. Ritsu and Zwein's subordinates approached their master. On the Black Rat's side, only two Devout Follower level Exor remained.
Kale's fight against Dominic also stopped, I waved my hand at Kale, so she could see where I was. she quickly moved towards me. When she arrived, she looked at my body and asked, "Are you all right?"
I nodded my head.
"We better get going quickly, a Messenger-level Exor fight is too dangerous," Kale said.
By the way, my wounds had healed, so I immediately ran away from the battleground. In the other hand, The Black Rat was already very cornered. I think victory will go to the rebels. However, when I thought that Black Rat would lose, Black Rat laughed.
"Hahahaha, in the end I had to use that thing." Surrounded by many enemies, the Black Rat showed no fear at all. He took off his mask. I was surprised to see his face was so pale.
"Don't you understand the situation, Master Black Rat? Whatever you do will be useless," said Ritsu. The lizardman moved forward, intending to approach the Black Rat.
The Black Rat' remaining subordinate, a Devout Follower-level Exor, stood in Ritsu's way.
"I won't let you get close to him!" said the person boldly, even though what he was facing was one of the pillars of the Black Rat itself.
Ritsu snorted in annoyance, he slapped the man, so that he was thrown aside with just one hit. Just as Ritsu was intending to punch the Black Rat, his movements suddenly stopped. I felt a terrifying aura spread from the Black Rat's body. Kale suddenly stopped moving. I then realized that all the half beasts seemed unable to move.
"Damn it, what happened?!" Kale whispered in annoyance. I don't know what to do, I can't just leave this woman, but the situation was very dangerous.
"You blame me for the changes that happened to you? It's ridiculous, the half-beast blood flowing in your body is proof that this is your destiny. Now all of you are rebelling after I awaken the power hidden in your body. But it's okay, I already expected this to happen."
The Black Rat's voice was so deep and resounding that it gave those who heard it goosebumps. From a distance I could clearly see the annoyance of Ritsu and Zwein who still can't move.
I remember something, the Black Rat was not a half beast, then which god seed resides in its body? At that moment, a strange gate suddenly appeared behind the Black Rat. There were many images of skulls on the gate. My body trembled, my instincts kept warning me. I didn't know what the gate was, but I was sure it's very dangerous.
Black Rat walked towards his subordinates.
"Sir! You still have your trump card apparently, that's great now that we can kill the rebels i-" The Black Rat grabbed him and threw him towards the gate. The gate was open, I couldn't see what was inside because there was only darkness.
The gate sucked in the person. He struggled to escape from the gate, but the force of the suction was so strong that he could only helplessly be sucked into the gate. After that, the gate closed, a black light shot from the gate and entered the Black Rat's body.
"I have a bad feeling from that thing, Zwein quickly destroy the gate!" although still unable to move, Ritsu was still able to scream. Zwein responded to Ritsu's shout with a nod. Then her body exploded, turning into an enormous snake. The snake shot towards the gate behind the Black Rat's body.
Black Rat noticed the attack. He moved at high speed and stood before Zwein. With a cold stare, the Black Rat emitted a dark aura on its body, the dark aura soared high and turned into a half-bodied skull giant that protected the Black Rat. The skeleton giant restrained Zwein, who was in the form of a giant snake.
"What the hell is that?!" I couldn't help but be surprised to see Zwein and the Black Rat start fighting. This really wasn't something an ordinary human could do. They were very strong and very scary. Exor was absolutely amazing. My heart was pounding, I felt a very strong desire growing within me. I want to be as strong as them.
As the fight between Zwein and the Black Rat progressed, the Black Rat's control began to fade. Kale who was beside me was finally able to move. She adjusted her body and took a deep breath. After that, she looked at me and said, "We have to go now, the situation is already chaotic!"
I nodded, although watching Black Rat and Zwein fight was interesting, but my life was more valuable.
But by the time we were about to leave the battlefield. The gate behind the Black Rat's body opened again. This time, hundreds of black lights shot out from the gate. The black light entered the corpses which were lying on the ground.
"What happened?" Instinct kept warning me, made my head hurt. I saw the corpses of the half beasts transform into something new. A monster with a pitch-black aura surrounding it.
The corpse monster surrounded us and walked slowly towards us.
There were too many of them to make it difficult for Kale and I to run away from them. Kale grabbed me and ran really fast, trying to break through the monsters' barrier once again. Too bad, one of the monsters got in Kale's way. We were caught in the midst of those monsters
