Helena's words didn't bother Harriet at all. There was no sign of Harriet being surprised or offended either.
When the waiter came, Harriet was still able to order her drink and have a light chat with the waiter while looking so calm. Her warm smile didn't change in the slightest, and even her body language was so relaxed.
"You need to stop comparing our genetic tendencies with a curse, Mother," Harriet said flatly.
So many twins were born in the Goldlane family since time immemorial. Most were a pair of twin girls or maybe triplets. As Helena was born as three twin sisters, it would be possible for Harriet to give birth to two twin daughters.
Helena turned her face away with a tired expression. "I had given birth to you and Heath without making any twins, yet now you still carry that genetic inheritance with you."
Helena hated twins. Actually, she had no problem with twin children themself, but she grew up in a family with two other twin sisters.
