Delacroix was delighted with its Shadow minion. It slipped through every monster's grasp and got to the Human World. He was delighted because as the strongest of those in the Field of Ashes, he could see what the Shadow could, control the Shadow, make it come home too. He didn't plan on it coming home, though.
