The next day, when school started, all the students sat in their places. Professor Dreos made an announcement, while flexing his muscles again, before he let the students go back into the dungeon again.
"It may be sudden, but we got a new student that will be in our class as of today. She might be a bit younger than you guys, but the reason she is here isn't because of her status but purely of the skill she has shown in the last few years. " When the doors of the classroom opened Dreos stopped his muscle flexing and stood there silently.
The person who came in had long hair that was half blue but also half red. Her eyes were the same. One eye was blue, while the other one was red. That alone was something people thought was weird, but the second thing they noticed was her height. Dreos said that she was younger, but so young?
The young girl stood in front of the class with a proud stance. "My name is Lilly Vi Grisgame and I´m going to join you today!" Lilly, the girl, announced Hearing the name of Grisgame made many jaws drop, but Kore especially felt hate coming from deep inside him. "I may be a princess of the house of Grisgame, but now I am a student of this wonderful academy as well, so please treat me the same as everyone else. It´s nice to make your acquaintance, everyone! "
"Uhmm, princess," Professor Dreos wanted to say, but got interrupted by the princess herself with a serious look in her eyes. "The same goes for you. Please treat me the same as everyone else. "
"Of course." Dreos said as he cleared his throat. "Do you want to tell the class about your element?"
Lilly thought a bit, but then continued with a smile. "No. It would be more fun to keep it for myself for now. " She chuckled a bit as she looked around the class and her new classmates. When she saw one particular student, her eyes got locked. That particular student was Kore. He himself felt a bit uneasy but responded to the stare with him staring at her too, filled with the hate of the Grisgame family.

"Please sit down right there, behind Kore," Professor Dreos said, pointing at the seat behind Kore, which was completely empty. ´Now I know why I hate him. He really puts the enemy just behind me where I can´t see her.´ Kore thought.
Dreos repeated some of the basics, like his introduction and the stuff about the dungeon, for Lilly, and then he would start explaining something new.
"Like every time the dungeon opens, there is a ranking in which you are allowed to participate." Dreos explained flexing his muscles once but not more. "The more monsters you defeat in dungeons, the higher you get in the ranking. The ranking will not change anything about your grades so don´t worry about that but it will get you great point-rewards for comming in the top three." When Dreos said that a new message appeared from Kore´s System.
[New Quest!]
[Get in the top three of the Dungeon Ranking]
[Rewards: first place: ???]
[second place: ???]
[third place: ???]
Kore became enthralled when he noticed the rewards were question marks. The knowledge of his world told him that things like these always meant there was a great reward. far greater than any points the school could give him. At least these were his thoughts before hearing what Professor Dreos said next.
"By the way, right now the first place is held by a student of another class with 200 monster kills." Dreos spoke. "Last place is... shared by three of our students with a kill count of one."
Dreos didn't want to tell anyone who it was, as he kind of feared Kore now, but Kore himself knew the three students. Zyn, Leo, and no one else but himself. Thinking about having to kill 200 of these monsters to even get near first place was a really terrifying thought. After all, he nearly died defeating one of them. He might be able to do it if there were a mass of corpses around so he could heal every time his health went low, but if he just made one mistake or was one second too slow, it would be his end. It was far too risky. And the dungeon just opened yesterday. It's unlikely that first place will remain on 200.They will try to get to 400 today or even higher, depending on the mood of the students.
"Anyway." Professor Dreos spoke. "You are free to go now and explore the depths of the dungeon."
With that, all of the students burst out of the room, trying their best in the dungeon to become the new first place. Just then, Kore was stopped by someone pulling on his sleeve. When he looked back, he saw the small Lilly holding him in place.
"What is it?" Kore asked with an intentionally angry voice.
"Uh-Uhmm." The girl who was so proud in front of the class now had problems speaking. She seemed rather shy rather than a person of high status. "May I- May I speak to you somewhere quiet?"
Kore wanted to keep on asking and then say no, but somewhere he still thought that maybe Lilly was actually a good person. After all, it might be just that stupid king being stupid. Actually, it might be even weirder if what looked like a 10 year old girl was actually a bloodthirsty murderer. That is why Kore decided it might be okay to at least hear her out, so he took her hand and went with her outside of the class in a pretty silent hallway.
"So?" Kore continued to ask, his voice angry."What is it now?"
Lilly looked around to see if anybody was near them, but when she saw nobody, she knelt down before Kore. "I´m happy to see you again, master." It seems you have grown a bit since last time. "
