Edmund followed Lukam closely not missing any opportunity to turn and stare at the beautiful inn. He was glad to finally be returning home but somehow felt a bit sad about leaving. It was as if he had to stay a bit longer. They walked straight before making a left turn, passing through a door which led them to the back of the inn where the horses were kept.
He could see different horses in different sections on the left and some chariots on the right. He stopped to stare at the chariots, which were more extravagant than the one he had ridden to the medical school.
He wondered how wealthy Verola was since it was quite evident that the inn was quite expensive. It was more organized than the ones Ayan would tell him about. And the materials were one he had never seen.
"Over here, young man." Lukam yelled, drawing the attention of the lost gentleman."
"Huh….. Oh, yes sir." He replied and rushed to the man who was over 10 metres from where he stood.
He rushed to Lukam who was in front of a separate stable. Lukam immediately handed him the reins to a horse and he grabbed it before turning his attention to a beautiful white horse.
Amazed by its beauty Edmund was a bit lost for a while before regaining himself and turning to the man beside him.
"Thank you, sir." He spoke and returned his gaze to the beauty at his front. He stretched his hands to her hair and began rubbing them.
Lukam untied her and released her to him. He was about to turn around when Edmund called out.
"Sir."
He turned to Edmund and raised a brow.
"What is it?"
"This may sound weird to you but, erm.. I just wanted to know if you own all these horses."
"No, young man." Just those by this side." He stretched his hand indicating two distant points.
Edmund scanned through the point and estimated the horses to be around 25 in number. He widened his eyes and immediately returned his attention and thanked Lukam.
He got on the horse and turned to Lukam.
"Thanks once again sir and please extend my thanks to the miss." He said and immediately rode away not looking back for once.
He lived in the southern part of Atkins so he had to ride fast if he wanted to get home on time therefore, he tightened his grip and began to ride faster.

Lukam walked through the door and returned to the inn.
"Has he gone?" Verola asked on seeing him.
"Yes, ma." He replied.
"He said I should thank the lady for her kindness." He added and bowed.
She stared at him and turned to return to her room.
She walked to the hall and Lukam followed from behind.
She observed the situation a bit and called for Jaren the most senior officer among the men.
"Gather the men and tell them to prepare for departure."
"Okay miss." He replied and bowed to the command before going to exact the command.
"Where is Miller?" She turned to Lukam.
"I think she is in her room. Ma."
"Okay. You may go." Verola said and walked towards a room beside her's.
"Knock knock…"
"Who is that?" A dark-haired lady said and around facing the door.
"Hello," Verola said and walked into the room.
"Oh, it's you. Quit acting like you didn't just see me not too long ago." Miller responded and smirked.
Verola walked closer and noticed her friend packing up.
"Are you set to leave?"
"Almost done," Miller replied and continued stuffing a blanket in her bag.
"You know we have to get to KILV on time." She said and began to assist her with the bag.
"There is no need for you to do this," Miller commented on seeing what she was doing.
"There is no need to stop me. It isn't that hard," She said and they both laughed.
Miller watched as Verola packed up some clothes into the bag.
"Done!" She blurted out on stocking up the bag.
"Let's go," Miller spoke and began to walk to the exit.
"You wanted to assist me so you might as well lift it." She turned and smiled at her before leaving.
"Seriously," She spoke and grinned playfully.
"JAREN!!!" She called out and left the room.
