Cillian looked at his father stunned. Silas looked into his son's eyes and said:
"I'm sorry I've been a terrible father to you when all you've done is try to make me happy. I've been selfish and put all my anger on you. Instead of cherishing the product of Leia and I's love I made you suffer for her leaving when it isn't your fault. I didn't realize how angry and cruel I was to you."
Silas swallowed with difficulty and his eyes moistened:
"I'm so sorry I made you feel like you weren't good enough or that being a dampire was something to be ashamed of. I should've been your number one supporter but I acted like all those terrible people who think you shouldn't exist."
