Cataleya saw on her windows that the duke and his trusted right hand left the estate in two separate horses. They didn't even bother on bringing another knights with them, an indication that they were intent to reach their destination fast.
Judging on their behavior, she was certain that they will be heading towards the Briston estate.
"Well, if this happened sooner, I wouldn't have to run away." Cataleya said. "I should have told him this the first time."
"Are sad, milady?"
Cataleya turned to her side and found the Lia there.
"Not a bit. But this matter is out of my hand. So, I should make the most of my stay here." Cataleya went to the door. "Lead me to the library. I heard this mansion has a huge one."
"Yeah. We surveyed there yesterday too. It's quite rustic but for someone who only likes books, the unsophisticated interiors won't matter." Lia said thoughtfully.
"You know me so well. Come on," Cataleya said cheerfully.
