Benzyl quickly checked under the table and his eyes met the worse of his nightmare. He was even ashamed to stare back. He raised his head immediately gesturing them to stand as he move away from them.
' Huh! You think l like pumpkins?' he quickly spinned a web of lies retrieving from his position. I knew you'll be hiding somewhere in this office so that's why l had to lie. And again l saw Charles tie hanging down the floor.'
' You....you mean....ooh shit! So you're not annoyed with us? Charles asked.'
' Shut up idiot, boss always gets annoyed with us, it's just that sometimes he hides it.'
' Out of my office you two, or are you idle l add you some more office work? Have you forgotten that am your boss.'
' Sorry Boss, sorry. We'll go back to work immediately. And thank you for the lunch.' Anderson apologized standing at the entrance, within seconds, he was out of the room Charles following him from behind.
Benzyl gnashed his teeth his mind still whirling with questions after they've left. He took one more glance through his window then went back to his seat, his thumb caressing his lips softly as if thinking about something. ' How could they eat all the pumpkin? Artilist they could have left even a slice,' he murmured creasing his brows. Before he could add something, his stomach growled loudly making him to look at the door suspiciously as an idea pops in his head. ' Maybe there's more at home, l must go early today in order to have a test of it, Aiiishh! Can't wait to eat my sweet pumpkin.'
After working for around six hours in the office, he couldn't wait for his chaffuer to arrive. He locked his office and dashed out only his breath taking perfume smelling all over. Some staffs noticed his sudden move and that made them to start murmuring to each other.
' Charles, make sure everything gets back to its place when you go home. I'll be heading home.' he quickly said and vanished without hearing a respond from Charles.
He reached home at around eight, hoping to find something to feed his stomach. The eyes that the guard gave him, made him to suspect something. His trembling eyes showed that something was a mess and he immediately knew obviously is Alin behind the mess.
' That wolf,' he retorted dashing inside without even a knock. But what surprised him more was the one whom his eyes were staring at furiously. A slender woman was sitting perfectly on the couch Alin washing her legs while her eyes were fixed on the laptop. She immediately raised her head, then for some minutes, their eyes locked. With just one push, Alin found herself on the floor the water on the small basin splashing all over her body as the woman jumps in Benzyl's arms.
' Baby! Baby Benzyl. Ooow! I can't believe that you came early today for me. I have missed you so much.' she muttered loudly for Alin to hear still embracing him. Benzyl neither did he move nor hugged her back, he stood there frozen his eyes glaring at Alin who was wiping herself with a towel.
' What are you doing here? That was the first question he asked after she has disengaged from him.'
' Uh- Don't you feel happy that am back? I came just for you, l really missed you darling.'
' Leign, what exactly are you doing here? Didn't l made things clear to you that l don't want to see you.' he shouted, from that moment, Bean, Benny and Bailey burged in still in their conversation only to get surprise with what they were seeing.
' Benzy, come on don't be mean. I landed here yesterday and slept at the hotel. Infact l have got a surprise for you. Your sweet pumpkin. I bought it immediately l landed so l wanted Nanny Ella to cook for you but unfortunately, she wasn't available. And again l bought you something which you have been yearning for a long time, Let's go to your room, I'll show you.' she rambled like a rapper dragging Benzyl away from the living room going upstairs. Alin who was watching everything in the kitchen, just stood there wondering on how to deal with her.
The rest of the guys knew now the real fire has been ignited. They knew Leign ever since Benzyl started dating her, l bet that woman was more than fire. For the few years that she has been abroad ever since they broke up, artilist they had some peace of mind. But the worse of it was that, here she was, trying to make things right with their brother.
' Can't believe she's back, man.' Benny retorted his head staring at the ceiling.'
' Me too. I gause we gonna go back to our normal life. Waking early, coming back late in the nights. Ghosh! When is she going back.' Bean added his body already on the sofa.
' I gause now she's here forever. You can't tell me she's here just to reunite with brother? but somehow to make sure no one's take him away from her. I think the news that has been spreading all over, she has heard about it, no wonder she's here.' Bailey added rubbing his temple slowly.
They both stayed in silence again as Alin approaches them to find more. She couldn't keep away her ears from not eavesdropping what they were converting about. ' Need dinner? She questioned knowing very well where her curiosity will lead her. They both turned to her and nodded their heads slowly as Bean orders some lemon juice to cool his nerves. They all settled down at the dinner table devouring the food hungrily until she broke the silence. ' Um! Is...is she a....l mean is she a celebrity too? She questioned with a trembling voice.
' Maybe or maybe not. But she is for sure.' Said Bean his eyes not leaving his plate full of chicken and rice.
' Stay away from her, she's wicked and from all, jealous. She'll might kill you cause of big brother.' Benny added.'
' Uh! I know that. She's a controller. She's lazy and somehow...
' Who is lazy black woman.' Leign shouted as she comes downstairs holding Benzyl's hand tightly fuming in anger. The moment she reached where Alin was sitting, a hot slap landed on her left cheek sending her back to the floor as a drip of blood comes out of her lower lip. Her sudden act surprised Benzyl and the rest of his brothers that they stood their frozen staring at the war woman Infront of them.
