After killing the five minions of the vampire I killed yesterday, I scanned their base.
Such a filthy place. It has a mixture of different scents of blood. Just thinking about what happened here is enough to make me throw up.
When I entered the last room, I spot a black duffel bag.
'I know it, there's no way they don't have this.'
I quickly took it and left. I have to go back quickly, taking up those five vampires wasn't easy that's why it took me a lot of time before I could finish them all off especially since I still can't control teleportation and I don't know how to unleash that scythe that came out of my hand…
As I got closer and closer to the sibling's residence I sensed two vampires' presence.
I slowed down a bit and hid not far from them. They're both wearing black cloaks and they're standing in front of the Voxcilles basement door.
They seemed to be looking for someone. I was about to approach them when they suddenly disappeared and in a blink of an eye, I sensed someone at my back. My body trembled but I was able to go back to my senses quickly and get away from them.
My mouth dropped when I saw who it is, "Y-you two…"
"Azar―"
"Don't scare me like that!" I blurted and let myself fall to the grass while regaining the air that almost escaped from my body.
"We should be the one saying that!" Zello shouted back at me, I just gave him a wide eye and he did the same.
'Warugaki!'
Zein shook her head in dismay and walked toward me to help me up. I took her hands, "Thanks."
"Where have you been?" she asked
"Just…" I stopped upon seeing them scanning me⎯ my whole body. I looked at myself and saw stains of blood.
I awkwardly laughed.
'Yabai.'
"I… just wanted to take a walk but then a vampire suddenly a-attacked me and… and I- I didn't kill him! I was just… uhhm scared him a little and then he gave me this," I showed them the duffle bag and opened it. Their eyes widened upon seeing a fair amount of gold.
'Good going Haven. You're finally starting to become a good liar―'
They suddenly grabbed me and we teleported inside the basement.
'Why do things keep on happening?!'
"Oh Ghod! Why would someone carry this on them?!" Zein blurted. Zello's already counting it.
"What's wrong?" I asked. Though I already have an idea, they're overacting and it just doesn't seem right.
"Commoners can't have that much gold! That's enough for one vampire to enter the academy, and if anyone finds out you have something like that, they're willing to kill you just to have their hands on it," she said seriously. Instead of feeling scared, I felt upset… upset that even in this world, vampires have to strive just to get what they want and need… food, home, clothing, and education.
I guess I wasn't evil enough to still feel like this towards them… the ones who killed my family, the villagers.
"180 golds in total," Zello spoke.
They both looked at me, "100 golds are the entrance fee to enter the academy and 80 golds are enough to live at least a year there without starving… it hasn't been long since the class started, do you want to―" I stopped Zein from talking.
"No. We'll collect more of it… and next year, the three of us will enter that gold sucker Academy."

That day, they both hugged me… at some point, I know… that the very reason why I'm here… started fading from my mind…
I know I'm done once I completely forget it but…
Let me forget about it for now…
I want to live peacefully without thinking about anything else… just at least while I'm in this house, with those two…
After drinking the potion that Zein and Zello gave to me to conceal the smell of my blood, I teleported to the forest of death.
It has been a year since I came into this world. I've learned a lot about vampires, more than Zello and Zein know… just that, in an illegal way…
I also learned that some other creatures exist. Like mages, fairies, dragons, dwarfs, elves, and giants.
But what weirded me is that… they don't know that humans exist…
I mean, they thought humans are mythical creatures⎯ wait, there's something more that's bugging me… in their story books, humans are holy creatures that gave intelligence to other creatures. Just like humans thinks of an angel as a divine creature… urgh, just imagine it like that 'cause even I can't explain nor process everything that I found out.
Forget that for now, I heard the vampire world is a very large sphere. Since the vampires here in Nirvana aren't trained, they can't be the ones who attached the human world 7 years ago. It's most likely the nobles or… royals.
Anyways, I'll find out everything once I enter the Academy since higher ranks gather in there. Just that, we have to work real hard to collect the given amount of gold to be able to enter it.
In the morning we work as a gardener, in the afternoon we work as a goods deliverer. And at night, when the two are finally asleep, I work as a cleaner… bandits cleaner.

After killing the last vampire, I looked for their hidden gold and took it. By doing this, I was able to enhance my strength, speed, and senses. I can now control my form as a vampire and I also learned how to teleport anytime and… I finally found out how my magic works through countless experiments, just that I still can't control it properly. I also limit myself when using it, I can't afford to be unconscious inside the bandit's basement.
When I came back, both of them are still sleeping. I put the gold I collected in our hidden chest.
'This is more than enough for us to enter the Academy.'
Since I'm the one who puts our collection here, they wouldn't notice that it's too much from what we're paid for… Anyways, I have to regain my strength. A week from now, the Academy will start reopening for new students.
I lay down in my bed and looked at the ceiling.
Playtime's almost over… time for payback, vampires.

A week later.
"I'm so nervioussssss…. And excited at the same time." Zein blurted.
Zello and I just laughed. It still surprises me when she just suddenly starts to act like a normal person. I mean, most of the time she's calm and collected as if nothing can sway her.
"Have you packed all your things?" Zello asked us. And this boy never once had I seen him act like a kid at all. It's weird but as time passed by, I started to just normalize it. They're born without parents, he's a guy, of course, he'll act brave and mature. It's a guy's thing, I don't why… sometimes it's fine to show weakness but they're too stubborn so just let them be.
We nodded to him. The gold we collected is already split fairly for the three of us. We also only packed our important things. Zein said we can just buy new ones inside the academy to look more presentable.
That got me thinking…
'So, is that an academy or a mall?'
"Hold on to me," Zein spoke and reached both her hands to us. We smiled and held her hands.
I closed my eyes. "Ready?" Zein asked.
"Ready." me and Zello said in unison. I felt a sudden blast of breeze and when I opened my eyes, my eyes sparkled. We're in front of a golden giant gate. There are a lot of young vampires beside us too.
The gate started opening and two beautiful ladies in black suits appeared in front of the gate and bowed.
When the gate completely opened, a large white castle-like academy was revealed right upon us.
Various comments of admiration wrapped around us. Even Zello, Zein and me.
"Welcome to Myriad Academy, future Vamyrs."
