Eloise's POV:
It sounded like there was no sound from the other side, which made me feel very pleased.
'Atticus must be angry. He can't accept this.' So, at the very least, I wouldn't be hearing anything from Atticus for the next few days.
This might be the only thing I was satisfied with these few days.
I felt a little helpless with him continuing to bug me like this. Could it be that he didn't know what had happened to me, so he was behaving like this? He was the Alpha, after all, and he must have a better understanding of human relationships than I did, so he was doing this on purpose.
I felt breathless and almost cried out. Why was he still unwilling to let me go even now? I didn't think I'd done anything against our marriage.
But at least he was in the same unhappy state as I was. From this perspective, what I did was worth it. It was because he could feel my emotions.
