Terrance's POV:
Constance didn't want me to mark her.
A great deal of disappointment and sadness filled me. I had never felt so powerless. I could feel Constance's feelings for me, but she kept rejecting me.
"Just wait. Give her time," Carl said to me. "She will see her feelings."
I contained the pain in my heart and planted a light kiss on her forehead.
"I'll give you time to think this through." I looked at her.
Constance lowered her head, afraid to face me. I knew she must be struggling. Last night, she was as passionate as if I was the only thing in her life.
I was willing to wait for her.
Constance's point of view:
God knew how much effort it took me not to see Terrance's disappointed face. I knew that if I stayed with him any longer, I would fall, so I made an excuse to leave.
I went to Baron's office.
