Chapter 13 - The Birth of the Tribe 2

The fire burned in the cave, the warmth of the dancing flames shining on the faces of the Welsh.

The night was a time of mating for the Welsh, and Joseph had no interest in participating.

He looked at the sky, blue and lacking clouds, with only a lonely moon.

The moon was still large at this time of year, much larger than the Earth outside, and a night sky without starlight was always incomplete.

"Create galaxies." Joseph mumbled in his mind, and, the guide began to create galaxies tens of light years or tens of thousands of light years away.

These galaxies would be born within a few million to tens of millions of years, and then, in a few tens of thousands of years, there would be light that would record them and arrive on Earth.

Starlight is the memory of the planets, and if Joseph wanted to, he could go forward now and watch the evolution of the Earth from over 200 million light years away.

......

Joseph named Joseph's small tribe Aden, with no particular meaning.

....

After another five years, Joseph's mother, Wei, died of an illness in the winter.

During these five years, the Aden tribe died a lot, but likewise more people were born and joined.

Stone was accidentally injured while hunting some time ago, and with his age, the head of the Aden tribe rightfully fell to Joseph.

Joseph does not think that surviving by hunting in this way is good for the tribe.

But agriculture is difficult to develop because, for the time being, no suitable plants have been found. Relatively speaking, livestock is easier to achieve.

Around the caves of the Aden tribe, Joseph had them tear down wooden stakes to form the most primitive walls, followed by simple and primitive earthen huts made of clay and water and roofed with dried grass.

The Welsh were wise enough to imitate the act, and with Joseph's guidance, many small earthen huts were formed.

These huts are not well sealed and are not waterproof, but they are much better than living in a cave or in a tree.

Joseph threw all the leftover fruit kernels around the tribe, and with a little luck, a few fruit trees should grow.

The captured rabbits are also fenced in with wooden stakes, and Joseph tells the Welsh not to steal them, which is sustainable farming.

The Yadin tribe gradually gained fame in the surrounding grasslands, and more and more small tribes began to integrate into the Yadin tribe.

The Yadin tribe became the meat and potatoes for a while, expanding to more than 300 people in just five years.

Such a large number of people is enough to hunt large animals in the grassland, and in the case of hunting by dozens of people at every turn, jackals or steppe wolves can only hibernate and dare not take the initiative to attack, especially in the case of the Aden people, whose weapons are far more advanced than other Welsh people.

It was Joseph's request to weave clothes with grass, and the Aden must cover their private parts.

Joseph led the Aden people to open up a water source, and it took more than five months to divert a branch from a river that was several miles away and passed through the Aden tribe, and getting water became a no-brainer for the Aden tribe.

Joseph, a rule he had set expelled from Aden those who did not contribute.

The reputation of "Jose" in Aden was unmatched, and no one dared to disobey him.

The first sense of nationhood began to be born in the small tribe of Aden.

....

In the following years,

With Joseph's patronage, Aden was free from natural disasters and wild animals.

The development of Aden was more rapid. The introduced river would roam in the rainy season, so Joseph ordered to dig deeper, and the development of animal husbandry was no longer limited to small animals.

But the number of people, even livestock, in the current situation of livestock is not sufficient to provide sufficient food.

The food crisis was already primed.

Aden, admittedly, can use the power of his God to create countless meals for Aden, but such a development is definitely not a good thing for Aden.

Adenites without mobility should be abandoned by Aden in any way, even if they are just old and have mobility problems.

Joseph considered himself not a benevolent person, but he was somewhat moved when he ordered all the old people who were unable to contribute to Aden to be found.

They were too old to walk. They were walking slowly, stopping in front of Joseph, their faces wrinkled, like cracked clay.

They also had people Joseph knew well, including the former chief stone and most of the elders when Joseph was born. Joseph gradually grew up and ruled Aden. They are also dying old, will die.

The human race of this era was far from having the longevity of later generations.

They looked at Joseph's eyes, full of complexity, and they knew what Joseph was going to do.

When food is scarce, they drive away the tribe's elderly. This is a frequent occurrence.

Joseph looked at a familiar face. His lips moved, but he finally did not say anything.

He waved his hand, then didn't turn his head back, and sadness filled Joseph's heart.

None of the older Adenites raised their voices in opposition, and they walked, unable to hold each other up, saying goodbye to those they knew.

They watched the sun setting and slowly walked towards the grassland.

All the Aden people knew that they would never return to the tribe, and they faced the darkness and death with openness.

Stone's teachings from Joseph's youth suddenly came back to him; hunting skills, ways of identifying food, all passed down by word of mouth from the tribe's predecessors.

Stone did not say a word. He walked out of the tribe. On this breezy night, they might all find a place to lie down, perhaps find a tree to climb, if the climbing.

In Joseph's vision, the original few people of the Aden tribe, holding each other, spent the whole night going to that hidden valley back then, where they were going to meet death.

Joseph can create enough food for them to let them die of natural old age, but Joseph is not willing to do such a thing.

....

The pressure on the Aden tribe's food was sharply reduced because of the departure of the old men, who had no workforce.

In time, it became the rule that every Aden who reached old age would quietly leave Aden before they could no longer walk.

It is not known how long such a rule will last, perhaps until agriculture emerges and can produce enough food for all.

The development of the Aden tribe did not stand still, and perhaps in a few thousand years, it would produce a nation.

Finally, "Jose" is getting old.

Joseph did not intend to make an exception. He lived thirty-two years, in the tribe, which was already at old age.

Joseph elected the next chief, "Lin".

This is a young boy of fourteen years old. He has the ability to cultivate fruit trees.

....

When the time of "Jose" fell, he had no offspring. "Jose" also quietly left late one night. Joseph felt that the body had reached its limit.

Tracing the path of his ancestors, "Jose" also came to the valley, where there were still a few skeletons.

"Jose" found a place to sit down. Even while walking and resting, he was still tired enough. He was panting, hoping to sleep.

Joseph's consciousness left "Jose's" body.

"Jose" closed his eyes and began to sleep forever.
