Opal was walking behind the bulky man leading her with the narrow corridor to the back door of the casino. She felt that something was off. Would her uncle really called her in such place? Opal stopped, Ryer once told her that she should trust her gut feeling. If she feels that something is suspicious than it's a high possibility that she is right. The security guy turned over hearing her stop.
"Madam we need to go." He urged her.
"Really, where to?" Before he could answer she started to run back to the main hall of the casino. Her silver high-heals didn't make her running away easy. The guy caught on her easily and hushed her with his hand and stabbed her neck with a syringe. Opal head was spinning within 30 seconds she was out.
The room she woke up in was made of concrete with a single bed. There was no window only a door and a toilet in the corner. From the ceiling hung a light bulb which was flickering. Opal was still wearing her white dress but she only had one shoe. Her evening bag was missing. Her mind was still a bit hazy so she sat on the bed and tried to calm down. She was wondering where she is and why.
First Opal you need to calm down. Whoever brought you here has no intention to kill you otherwise you would have been already dead. As long as you live, there are many options for you. Keep calm breathe in and out. Listen, smell, focus. She commanded herself. She heard some muffled screams, cheers. She could smell some really faint Alpha pheromones in this room. The room was stuffy but in the corner she noticed the vent, this is were the muffed sounds were coming from. Opal decided to get ready for whatever comes. She tore the hill of her shoe. It was thin, easy to hide and could be used as a weapon. Ryer taught her once how to fight and defend herself. She knew some tricks. All she has to do is to pick the right time. She was quick, agile and skilled but she wasn't as strong as any Alpha or Beta male. Tactics, patience and the surprise effect was all she had. Opal stood next to the door. She was waiting.
Jayden was breathing heavily, his lip was swollen and he was bleeding. The opponent attacked again, sanding a punch in his direction. Jayden blocked it with his left hand and in the same time sent a punch directly in his neck. The guy was coughing and Jayden gave him the final kick in his chest sending him to the floor. Another kick followed this time in the ribs making the other guy curl up from pain. Than there was aloud cheer and applause. Jayden looked around, his chest and feet were bare, he was only wearing jeans. There were some blood droplets on him, but they were from his opponents. His knuckles were sore, it was his second fight. He was standing in the middle of an arena surrounded by metal bars, separating him from the spectators. A referee dressed in sparkling suit stepped inside.
"And the winner of today's third fight is green eyed J. Our Alpha warrior hasn't lost a single fight since he joined our ring." Another applause followed.
"Soon this fine piece of Alpha will be put up for auction. I remind you that the auctions are held once a month on the third Saturday. - The man was walking around in agitated manner pointing at Jaden. "Those of you who have enough change mach obtain this fine specimen. If you wish to own such pretty thing I advise you to reach deep into your pockets, yhis is first class opportunity." There was a murmur among the people watching him. "So ladies and gentlemen in a moment next fight is about to begin our winner J please step back from the arena."
That was the signal for Jayden to move. Stuff workers entered and collected the beaten guy on the floor. Jayden stepped out and was led round the arena for the guests to have a better look at the merchandise he suddenly became. The spectstors were sitting in comfortable upholstered tub chairs. They were both men and women wearing black masks to cover their upper face. Jayden could see they eyes moving as he was passing by, some woman even touched his abs and giggled. Jayden hated it. It took him a while to process the whole situation he was in right now. After the talk wit Arien, Opal's uncle he was brought here. It was hard to tell how much time has passed. He was sitting in a closed room or he was at the arena fighting. He had like one or two fights a day, so he was told. Betting on that information he was here for about three, four days maybe. He underestimated that fucker. Jayden thought that if only he finds Opal and has a chance to explain himself all could be settled. He never thought that Opals uncle was such an asshole. But in one point that asshole was right, he came here unprepared. Without any backup thinking he was able to solve any problems on his own. So now he was in deep shit. He tried to run away but they were prepared, in contrast to him they were professionals. Jayden could fight all right, he was a trained warrior of his pack and an Alpha. But a single wolf couldn't stand a chance in a fight against a well organized group. He was led outside the hall with the arena and was now walking down the corridor. A guy with taser who was behind him slapped him in the ass. Jayden stopped and gave him a hateful look.
"Get used to it pretty Alpha, not all of you are bought by women." He laughed at his own joke. Jayden was actually looking forward to this auction, there was a chance he could get out of here to some other less guarded place. He was annoyed his pheromones were filling the air.
"There, there don't get to cocky or I may put you to sleep." He heard from behind. Jayden clenched his fists, soon he will get away. All he needs is patience and good opportunity. Than suddenly he stopped. He felt a familiar but faint smell of pheromones. Someone he knew was here, someone important. Mate, his wolf growled.
