Cailean was still listening to the sounds of growling and the visible struggles of Aiden back in the entrance where they had left him. She couldn't focus on the sounds inside the path that he created for them that will lead towards the top where the mage that he mentioned resides. She just groaned in frustration while the Alpha is still holding her hand, guiding her inside the mountain.
"Is it really okay to leave him behind?" Cailean asked Alpha Conri. They then stopped and faced each other, "He helped us a lot in this journey, and I think that it is just fitting to get him out of the trouble he is in now."
"No," Alpha Conri replied weakly, shaking his head off. His face was also down, with his eyes already expressing grief for the brief comrade. He clenched his fist at the hopelessness he was in, thinking if he did was right, "We have to go now, or his sacrifice will be in vain."
