Meanwhile, Carlos, Spade, and Cailean are still continuing to walk down a spiral flight of stairs that was hidden in the castle that leads to the basement – where they do not know what artifacts are hiding inside there.
While they are hurrying to escape a rampaging goblin, Cailean took the time to ask Carlos about the path that he suddenly knew as if he had been there before.
"How did you know about this path anyway?" She said what was on her mind, "Even we don't know about this shortcut that you have taken us."
"You do know that we once stormed the castle and took it as our own," Carlos answered the woman, panting on the distance that they have already covered, "I discovered this path while studying the interior of the castle. I haven't told anyone about this, except for you."
"Even Alpha Adolphus?" Cailean asked once more.
"Even him. I know that he will go crazy in his war if he discovers what was inside that basement."
