Chloe pov continues…
I was sweating while arranging the dusted books in the container given to us when I come across a book, I dusted the title off, it seems like a diary or some journal, and that reminds me it's been long I have opened up my journal, I opened it and the first page I read is "Rachel Gerard, do not open unless you are Rachel Gerard" I smiled and put it back not after doing a speed glance at the write up in it, I'm so inquisitive? Yeah!.
It's a few minutes until closing period today is Friday. I will finally have a lot of rest during the weekend.
I was approached by Sean
"Hey, are you done?" I asked him even though it is so obvious that we haven't done half of what we were assigned to do.
"Of course, we are" he answered sarcastically while nodding his head
"You know what I think? I think we are going to take forever to get this done and right now I'm so hungry and tired right now" he said
"And for that, I have a plan." He added
"No no" I said, shaking my head, already thinking of what the plan is, whatever it is, the plan is not advisable, this I know.
"Trust me the plan is okay, I already shared it with caleb and Brian, and they are all okay with it" he said with an assuring face
"So what is it?" I asked facing him after getting an affirmative looks from them
"So we sneak out, and leave this hell, it's 3 minutes to closing time, we need a break"
"No I don't support that, that might earned us another round of detention I said to him
"No, it won't" he assured
"How sure are you?" I asked facing him
"Moreover, we were not sent to school to be doing some cleanup to an ancient library full of dust, that could suffocate us, what if we die, we only fought ourself, we didn't kill, and besides the idiotic element that started this fight is probably still chilling in the detention room and to be honest, the detention is far more better that this" he rants at once. Did he even breathe?
"Woah! Calm down, okay? We do it your way then" I said to him. I'm hungry myself, and for some second I wish I didn't show some brave girl shii standing up at a bully, I would have still been in class now, with a filled stomach at least.
We walked to the door following Sean lead as he gently open the door to the library
"She is sleeping," Sean whispered to us. What is wrong with all these teachers and sleeping?.
"Great!" I mouthed back
"We are going to tiptoed out" he whispered
And we gently tiptoed out of the library. We jubilated immediately when we were outside the library, that was when the students started trooping out, closing time.
We race to our lockers to get our school backpack, Not to miss the school bus not without getting some glance as we pass.
We were running when I had this deja vu feeling I touched my head as I wince at the pain I felt, the same vision I saw this morning came rushing in but more scarier
"Chloe! Chloe!" Sean screamed my name
"Are you okay?" Caleb asked, standing next to me. I looked up to meet Brian eye giving me an 'are you okay' look. They are all worried about me.
I nod my head to signify that I'm alright.
Sandra pov…
"So you will be coming for tonight's welcome party right?" Noah asked as I reached the hallway to my office
"Of course, I will, you see, I just got employed here so it is mandatory of us to be there" I said
"I know right, so let me have your number so we could catch up " he said handing me his phone
"There" I replied returning the phone back to him
"So we will talk later, don't over work yourself because I know you" he said before walking away
I smiled at his retreating back and walked into the office to continue the day's work.

I alighted from Joyce car and said bye to her before opening the door and walking in, I will start bringing my car to work, starting from Monday, Joyce have offered to drop me home after today's work and I can't say no, even if I want to, the sun today was so scorching and can boil an egg.
I walked in and poured myself a cup of water and gulped down a glass of water before walking to my room and changing my clothes. I was still changing when I could hear Chloe walking in, she is back
"Mum I'm home" she yelled from the living room
"I will be downstairs in a minute sweetie " I said and quickly wore my top then grabbed my fluffy slippers and walked out of the room I was walking down the stairs when I suddenly felt dizzy for some seconds and it came with a sharp headache I touched my head and wince at the pain
"Mum! Are you okay?" She asked, looking at my direction with a concerned look.
"I'm fine, I just have a slight headache, must be because of the overwhelming work I did at work" I said, descending from the stairs and making my way to the kitchen.
"Maybe you should quit" she replied me and I looked up at her
"What!?" I asked hoping she was joking but she wasn't.
"I mean it's your first day and you are already given so much work" she pout.
"Nah, it is a fair thing I work, they pay, and besides it wasn't a lot of work to do, maybe it's because it has been a long time since I'm behind a computer." I replied her
"If you say so," she said. I'm glad she is worried about me, so much I have been craving for this mother and daughter bond for a long time and now I'm getting it, I smiled.
"He called me today" I started remembering
"Who?" She asked
"You know who I'm talking about"
"What does he want?" She asked
"He was pleading that it was just a mistake, I guess the divorce letter has reach him, maybe he thought I was bluffing all this while, he said he never meant to hurt her, that he knew how hard it is for me before I could have her, and it was all a mistake, but that doesn't changed the fact that he killed her, he pushed her to her own death, he cheated and he is a manipulative, he makes me believe that I failed as a.. a mother, that I'm a failure in parenting, he pushes all the blame at me, he manipulate the cops and every one, he keeps lying every single damn time, he said he still loves me but I know that is a damn lie again, I'm sure he is only concerned about the properties he is going to lose to me if he signed the divorce letter, I'm done Chloe I'm done!"
"It's okay mum" Chloe said holding my hand
"It's okay," she added.
"Don't worry about me, I will be fine, go change your uniform and come downstairs for your meal" I said to her, I'm really broken.

Chloe's pov…
"Mum, can I go to a party?" I asked hoping she would say yes.
subsequently we had taken our backpack we went to meet with Cassie and Sarah apparently they were standing in front of the detention room thinking we were still there when we saw them, they were so worried, and while walking to the bus we were connered by some cheerleaders and they handed us each an invite letter to the birthday of one of them which will be holding an Tuesday next week, I'm not a party person but everyone else is thrilled by it, so I don't wanna be the odd one anyway.
Why can't the party be held by the weekend? Tomorrow is Saturday and there will be a lot of free time for us.
"When is it?" She asked instead
"On Tuesday next week, and it's okay of you don't want me to go" I said even though I wish she would let me attend
"Ouuuuu, someone seems so thrilled to attend a birthday party, anyway, I never said you shouldn't go, till then!" She said smiling.
