As the feast happened, the people at that section of the 4th Floor began their feat before ascending to the 5th Floor. Before that, they decided to take a rest and full themselves before facing the dangers beyond.
While feasting, Ragna watches the others as they are all eating their meat and drinking the waters they've gathered from the environment nearby. As he sees it, Ragna begins to notice that Galen had returned to his silence once more.
"( Did he shut his voice again? )" Ragna wonders about Galen for he founds Galen to be a mysterious person that suddenly showed his true self in desperate times like himself.
"( Galen just suddenly came from a mute person to a loud person and returns to a mute person again... )"
"( As if his voice needs to recharge or something... )" Ragna wonders despite being a silent type too in the eyes of others, but still, Ragna sometimes can be chatty if the topic interests him unlike Galen here who is still unhinged as if his consciousness suddenly left his body.
While Ragna is looking at the silent Galen, Inquisitor Kara, the most sociable person in the group now asks the remaining Hunters from Ragna's group about themselves one by one, the Hunters begin to formally introduce themselves to the others after having some time in this sudden alliance.
" My name is Jack West... "
" I was supposed to be a Doctor in the District D's G Hospital but had to cut off the job due to my senior doctors' associates offering me to be a Hunter... "
" And when I say 'offering me to be a Hunter', I mean those associates guys directly came to my Hospital Director, recruiting me through him... " Jack explains for the Hunter Association offered him to be a Hunter due to his Healing Gift [Physical Recovery (Tier III)], which could not only just heal a person's wound, but also repair the damages in a person's body.
As he explains his past, Jack then tells that the Hospital Director immediately offered him this job and tells him that in return, he will make Jack enlisted in the Medical Section of the Hospital, his dream job position.
After Jack explains it, he then begins to curse the Hospital Director for agreeing to make him a Hunter in the first place, making him had to be enlisted in this Raid which he found to be an annoyance despite participating in this Raid is already approved and honored by the gods.
While Jack explains that, the people there went silent since an Inquisitor is with them right now they immediately looked at Inquisitor Kara regarding this as they were afraid of Jack's comments regarding the gods.
As they all wondered how the Inquisitor will react, Inquisitor Kara then responds by brushing that off as she can understand Jack's feelings regarding this Raid she also tells that she already predicted that not all of the Hunters enlisted in this Raid wanted to participate in the first place if not from some promises and pressures from the society around them.
During her response, she begins to tell them about the Hunters in her group back then went she departed as she tells them that the Hunters with her, some of them, also did not want to participate in this madness in the first place.
But sadly some of them even had their families forcing them to participate due to the fear of the Tower, as if their own families want to sacrifice them for their safety since they're Hunters, the Gifted Soldiers that hunt the Demonic Monsters like the Inquisitors and the Real Trinia Army.
Hearing that, the people in our group cried as they feel saddened after hearing the story regarding the death of Hunters from Kara's group while asked why the Inquisitor didn't cry after seeing their death at the time.
As they asked that, Inquisitor Kara then explains the reason, which the reason is that she's already getting used to seeing people died over the years and also realized that death is the main risk for those who want to fight the monsters for the gods and humanity.
After she explained the reason, the Hunters who stay silent including Ragna and Galen can only reflect on it as they already know this fact but often denies the possibility, until now.
"( She's right... )"
"( If it were not because of some 'Plot Armor', we would've already died hours earlier. )" Ragna says as he believes that those who survived must have some Divine or Universal 'Plot Armor' either it was Gifted from the Heavens or Gained after lots of training and experience.
"( I know this is nerdy, but I believe that like in the comics, novels, mangas, and webtoons...., there are some those who were gifted this kind of luck that helps them survive until the end of the journey. )"
"( These kinds of people may often be criticized by the readers for their survivability, but sometimes, to me, who often loves fantasy stories, sincerely believes that even in the most impossible situations, there will be always those who survive either way, realistic or not, like for example... )"
"( Us...., the Lower Ranks who can survive against the likes of the Balor by sheer teamwork. )" Ragna says to himself as recounts his doubts earlier by thinking that there is no way that the others with him back then would somehow survive. But in the given reality, some of them survived, despite having their levels below him in reverse of their higher Ranks.
"( I must say, that the Six Hunters left in my group had great luck and survivability... )"
"( This could mean that in their status, their Vitality Status could be potentially high... )" Ragna says as he doesn't have the function to see other peoples' status unlike those Leveling MCs who get this kind of privilege and authority while he can still see the status of the monsters he faced.
While thinking about it to himself, Ragna then looked again at Galen as he is still silent in his seat, eating the purified meat calmly as his much doesn't produce any voice at all.
"( Guess, not some of my group survives by pure luck and sheer plot armor... )" Ragna says as he had some curiosity over Galen.
