Ben ended the call angrily because it disturbed him to approach Sarah. But Ben took a step further, and the call sounded again when Ben saw that the number was Megan's cell phone number, Ben ignored it and put his cell phone back in his trouser pocket.

Ben immediately said hotly because he was sure that Megan was trying to annoy him again. But Ben's sneer stopped when his ears heard the voice of a child crying faintly calling him.
"Papa!"
[Sob...sob...] the sound of a child crying made Ben focus more on pressing the speakerphone to his ear.
