Watching the love act in front of them, the ladies could only sigh with small hearts flying out from across their eyes.
Although, Jedrek was gentle towards Raine and looked calm but his gentle nature didn't hinder the fact that his aura was somewhat suffocating to them. His gazes were cold and his appearance screamed rich and this alone made them conclude that maybe he was one of those young CEOs they have always dreamed about.
As much as they admired him, they couldn't muster up the courage to approach him. They find it difficult to take a wink, thinking that such perfection will disappear from their sight if they turned away.
Some of them even mustered up the courage to whisper amongst themselves.
"I can't believe that I would get to see such glorious perfection in a man for my entire life..."
"His looks are so dreamy but that girl...from the way he's treating then she's not someone that ordinary to him."
"I can see that....she's really so lucky. I wonder what she did to get such a perfect man like that. I wish I was in her place instead then all my wishes would have been granted."
"Yeah, from his looks and aura he doesn't seem to be an ordinary person. Maybe he is one of those rich CEOs. But why haven't I seen him around before or maybe even on business news?"
"Maybe he really likes his private life and doesn't like to go public or maybe he's from a different city...but look at those eyes, they are cold but I would love to stare at them all day."
"Shhhh, you guys keep it down. I think they might hear us."
Their discussions all fell on deaf ears since Jedrek was just too focused on helping Raine with her shopping.
The fact that the girls had never seen or heard of him before only added a streak of mystery to him. A kind of mystery that every girl would feel intrigued and would want to uncover.
He was the definition of perfection in their eyes but Raine beside him only created a wall between their hopes and dreams making it crush down before they could even sprout out.
When Jedrek thought that he had finally gotten everything Raine might need, he quickly took her to the checkout to get the payments done.
The cashier there was a young lady in her twenties. She had been among those giving Jedrek dreamy looks just a while ago but seeing him standing in front of her, she had to put up a professional smile and greeted them gently.
As she carefully handled the bills, she couldn't help but steal meaningful glances at the couple in front of her.
The man had an aloof and cold expression while handling everything else but the minute he turned to look at Raine, his expression would immediately soften as though his cold countenance was just an illusion to begin with.
While the girl in question had her head cast downwards the entire time. Her shimmering blonde hair only drew attention to her small frame which was completely hugged by the man. Her actions were weak and helpless as she completely let herself get lost in the embrace of the man.
When she occasionally raised her head, her small face was deathly pale and her blue eyes seemed to hold countless emotions. She would softly nod her head whenever the man ask her a question as if scared of uttering even a single word. But her beautiful and delicate features couldn't be hidden despite her frail and pale look.
Their looks alone only drew more attention to them.
As the cashier stared at them longer, she couldn't help but be amazed at what she saw. This kind of intimacy in public...It only made the cashier deduce that they were married and maybe the girl was sick or even pregnant seeing the man's gentle actions towards her.
She brazenly cleared her throat to get their attention and as expected, the minute she did that, Jedrek's sharp and piercing gaze immediately turned to her.
Feeling his intimidating stare on her, the cashier gulped hard but she still mustered up the courage to speak.
"Uhm...Sir, there's a small pharmacy on the sixth floor which also operates for twenty-four hours. It is owned by the best hospital in the clinic so if your wife is feeling unwell you can take her there to get some medications."
