Unknown Tomb, Sword POV
With this new body now under my control I was now finally free from that imprisoning blue stone.
And what freedom did I have now!
While I couldn't, or more accurately didn't care about the body that I have taken over could feel. My actual body felt so free.
I opened the eyes of the puppet to see my full glorious form, and what I saw was myself. My full self.
While I already knew what my handle was, this was the first time I saw my other half, not from a memory.
What I saw was a shiny, reflective steel blade. It had no scratches, dents, nor imperfections. It was the purest form of the definition, sword.
I inspected my bladed half closer to my other body's face.
I was able to see the face of who I have taken over, it was not pretty, more so rugged than anything. However, there was one peculiar thing.
The body's eyes were covered in a dark blue glow, similar to my own eye. It is probably a reaction from my possession of him.
"Well, it's not the worst thing that could happen from controlling the body." I carelessly thought aloud.
"YOU'RE CONTROLLING WHAT!" An angry, feminine voice yelled.
I used the body to look up at the noise, and that's when I realized two things.
Firstly, I actually have a mouth now, so I can actually talk to other people now.
And secondly, the partner of this body I took is pointing a bow at me with an arrow ready to strike at me.
This woman is named Sarina, an archer who has been adventuring with Gerald the knight, who is currently under my control, and Kevish a wizard of nature. Or was is most commonly known as a druid.
'Wait how do I know this?' I thought to myself. 'And the language their speaking is something I never heard of. Then how can I perfectly speak and understand it.'
That's when something hit me.
It was an arrow to the forearm that was holding me.
The body felt pain for a split second, and its grasp on me weaken. I then use my ice magic to freeze the arrow, then will the ice to break itself instantly along with the arrow. The ice also covered up the wound to stop bleeding.
But there was another thing that didn't physically hit me.
I realized after dealing with the wound, that once I controlled the knight, I also gained all his knowledge. This was an unknown benefit that I'll discuss later. Now it is time to test out this body and all that I have learned from my old memories.
"While I do thank you for freeing me," I said in my voice through the puppet's mouth. "I also have been trapped here for who knows how long! So I wouldn't mind testing out my old skills before I go back into the world."
I then lunged at the archer, aiming my blade right at her throat. She saw me coming right towards her and performed a roll to dodge my attack.
I did not expect this and fly right past, my bladed half piercing the wall where she was standing.
I heard another arrow coming at me. I pulled myself from the and expertly dodged the arrow.
My mind wandered for a bit, 'How come a person in full armor be able to move this fast?' I then realized from my previous memories that all my former masters did show more advanced movements and strengths from holding me.
'Most likely an enchantment I have, which directly boosts the wielder.' However, before I could continue that thick green vines violently wrapped around my arms and legs.
'I really need to stop studying this new body mid-combat.' I quickly thought.
"GO ARCHER!" The wizard quickly yelled, "GET THAT SWORD OUT OF SIR KNIGHTS GRASP AND HE'LL COME BACK TO HIS NORMAL SELF!" The female archer nodded and sprinted right towards me.
"An astute observation and promising magical abilities," I said, not caring for the woman who is trying to remove me from my welly deserved puppet. "However you did not take into account that others can use magic like yourself."
My eye on my original body brightly glowed as in two seconds flat, the entirety of the vines holding turned to ice. I then willed the ice to explode forward, the flying chunks of ice now hitting and cutting both the wizard and archer alike.
The archer was dealt more damage from the blast since she was the closest to me. The wizard didn't look that badly damaged yet he was bleeding from many wounds on his body.
I figured it would be best to get rid of the archer because of her wounds. And one less combatant in a fight will always improve my odds of success.
I quickly charged my sword, aiming right through her chest. Yet before I made contact, what felt like a tiny prick hit both my actual body and the puppet.
And without my command, I was immediately pulled away from the archer's chest, but I did not entirely miss her.
The random swing instead cut off a large chunk of her shoulder, spewing a large amount of blood.
The archer fell down on her good shoulder and began crying and screaming. Using her other arm to cover the wound, trying to keep as much blood in as possible.
While I felt nothing from this, the puppet had a small sense of sadness. That's when I realized what happen.
There is still a semblance of the knight's former consciousness still in the body!
Out of everything I expected to happen this never crossed my thoughts! I thought it was more likely for my host to die and I to be locked away somewhere else! Then my puppet retaining some consciousness!
This meant I have to end this battle quickly! Or suffer the consequences of losing control over this body.
It was time to end this game of cat and mouse.
