"Do you know the place well? Is it a very famous place?" Sebastian asked curiously, almost inclining over the back of the driver's seat.
The lady driver saw this customer though bulky and somewhat handsome was something different in attitude than most of the customers she had driven till now. Because this bulky man was somewhat like a lady. Not maintaining distance like most northerners do. He was very familiarly eager – as a strange woman act around another strange woman. She flashed a familiar smile. This man was no threat. He was not thinking anything dirty seeing her as most males do. She said, "Everything around here is famous."
"Oh," he said, sitting straight.
"Where have you come from?" asked the driver. No formality, no "Sir", no show. Like a woman to woman talk. Already she was feeling equi-genderal feeling for this middle age bulky man.
"North," he replied short.
Like I do not know: thought she and smiled.
He too smiled back.
"Why have you chosen to stay at Nair's Enclave?" she asked again.
"Why is it not a very cheap and good place to stay?" he asked back.
"Oh, you are going there because you think it is a very cheap place? But I can get you better and cheaper places to stay."
"No, thanks. One of my friends is residing there and I have to meet him there. By the way thanks for your offer."
From his tone she guessed that perhaps he was lying. And he was eyeing everything through the car windows, which shows that he was new to this place. A first timer. And perhaps he had no friends residing in Nair's Enclave. For what purpose has he come here? He seems an odd man out here. And yet his purpose seems something very fishy. Whatever. I am not a crime branch officer. It is none of my business.
