Chapter 18 - 18. Sebastian's Next Move

The lady taxi driver had left him outside Nair's Enclave two hours ago. Then he entered the hotel. At the entrance hall, the lady receptionist in white skirt and blouse smiled at him and stood up in a show of respect. She asked, "How can I help you, sir?"

"Oh, I have made a reservation an hour ago, online," he said.

She looked into the computer to confirm.

"Sebastian S, Novantes?" she asked.

"Yes, that is I."

Then she handed him a key. On the key holder the number of the room was inscribed: 51.

He looked quizzically at her.

She displayed an assuring smile and said, "That will be on the second floor and take the left side."

"Thank you," he said and ascended the staircase nearby, rejecting the lift.

"A strange man," he heard the lady receptionist speak to herself. "Left the lift. Instead choosing the staircase."

Ignoring her, he ascended. Then reached the room and went inside and readied him by taking a shower.

When in the flight he was searching online for matriarchy in Noni he came to know that Nairs're matrilineal familis. He had already read a few Wikipedia and other online articles. But he was thinking of where to live. Then he found this Nair's Enclave. It was a hotel at the center of Noni. Surrounding it were several societies where most Nairs and their close relatives were living. Sebastian with his common sense thought the man he and his gangmates were searching, was a researcher of matriarchy and Nairs're a matrilineal caste in Noni. He planned to visit certain Nair families. And he could stay at the Nair's Enclave and search Andrew there, for if Andrew were in Noni he would choose to stay near Nairs – whether at their villages or at the hotel, for their matrilineal ancestry. There was ninety nine percent chance that Andrew would not be hiding or staying at the hotel. That seemed obvious to him. But when depending on chance and fate, he concluded that what was bad in taking an obvious chance. Manytime people ignore the obvious and later repent. He did not like to take any chance at all. So he booked a room here online. He had to carry on his little plans now after a quick shower and breakfast.
