"Are you coming or not?" Miku asked in the doorway. She looked at Carl, who was sitting on his bench.
"Wait, Miku. I need to finish my journal for today," he answered, not stopping his activities. He typed a sentence on the transparent screen in front of him. "Have you written it?"
Miku walked into the room and sat on his bed. "Not yet. I usually write before bed."
It differed from his habit of writing after dinner. It also gave his body time to digest food.
However, he chose to remain silent. After all, Miku already knew that.
Then, silence. Miku stayed there and waited for him in silence. Or, actually, she was reading something on her screen.
Carl deliberately tapped his finger hard on the virtual keyboard to dramatize the end of his activity. "Done," he reported. Carl then turned his chair to face her. "We can start training," he said while standing up.
Miku hung up on whatever she was doing and stood up. "Let's go."
