A golden culdron with dragons engraved on it's surfaced let out a hiss as steam rose from the top. The steam itself was almost enchanting, a mix a purple, blue, and yellow. It seemed to form the slight outline of a majestic bird as it slowly dissipated into the atmosphere.
Yinyue herself let out a breath of relief as five spherical objects flew into the palm of her hand. Pills. 'I'm glad I could make it, my own body is one of a waste afterall...any longer my array may have given out.'
Speaking of which, it was quite funny. This body Yinyue had taken over, 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘪𝘵'𝘴 𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘥𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥. It was a miracle how it was able to still function properly let alone be able to do the things a normal person was able to. However, Yinyue could faintly smell a light medicinal fragrance. Not the natural kind that stuck to the body from being around herbs, but the kind from taking large doses of medicine. A sickly smell.
Yinyue sighed and grabbed a jade bottle to put the translucent pills in. These pills had always rather fascinated her, they were clear, yet the ingredients used to make them were clearly all extremely saturated. It was like reverse dispersion. 'Uhg...I'm going to need to take one myself...'
Biting her tongue, Yinyue quickly took out and swallowed a pill. The pills weren't big, but the pain caused by them was enough to make even a firm willed person loose consciousness. The first sensation you would feel would be a piecing iciness that spread from your insides, then a raging flame that burned from the outside. The two opposing forces crashe into eachother, tearing and mending every cell.
The user had to stay awake during the entire process otherwise the effect of the pill would be rendered useless. Yinyue gritted her teeth and only let out a moan of pain. Glistening sweat trailed down her face as Yinyue did her best to endure the effects of the pill. 'This might be a bit much for Baiqian...whatever I can just make her a weaker one if she fails. My pills aren't like those one time use dregs.'
Any cultivators who knew of Yinyue's thoughts might've hunted her down in anger. Anything that could change someone's constitution was already a miracle alright! Constitution may only be able to improve through an ancient artifact or certain pills, and they often had severe side effects and most required certain conditions to even use! Ofcourse they'd be one time use!
Constitutions were determined from birth and decided someone's talent. There were also special constitutions that allowed a cultivator advantages in an area or multiple. A poor constitution would equal poor talent and would then determine what realm a cultivator could potentially cultivate to, potentially. Cultivation itself was something that defied the heavens, it didn't only rely on talent. It also relied on the person's willpower, and luck. The kind of luck that brought opportunities, like Baiqian's...and like hers. That was why so many 'ordinary' or 'trash' peoole could become unparalleled geniuses. The Dao, or world law, deemed them worthy and granted them opportunities that they would then seize and use to change their fate.
Yinyue let out a sigh of relief soon. Although she could endure pain, that didn't mean she enjoyed it. Luckily, although the pain was harsh, the effects didn't last very long.
Gripping the bottle that contained the remaining four pills, Yinyue sighed again. 'I've already given her an opportunity. Whether or not she can seize it is not any of my business from now on.'
Yinyue quickly masked her self deprecating smile. 'We're pretty similar aren't we Baiqian? But they are plenty of others that have the same situations as us...luck huh. What a mysterious thing.'

"Baiqian." Yinyue's authoritative voice rang out. "I have somethibg for you."
A white haired girl appeared almost immediately once she heard the familiar tone. "Senior Yin!" Baiqian beamed, her sharp fangs showing with the toothy smile she gave.
Instinctively, Yinyue reached out to pat Baiqian's head. The scene was quite comical with Baiqian being almost an entire head taller than Yinyue.
"Here." Yinyue held out the small bottle containing the pills she had refined. "My personal recipe, it can improve ones physique. They are four pills in here, multiple uses are fine but each use contains a greater pain than the previous. Although it can improve talent, it shouldn't be taken carelessly. You will go through pain equivalent to your soul being split, you have four chances. Don't lose conciseness otherwise the effect will be voided..." Ranting, Yinyue continuously listed a bunch of details she thought Baiqian should know before consuming the pills. 'Uhg...speaking is problematic.'
"...Baiqian do you understand the risks and are you willing to take them?" Yinyue gulped down a breath of air, 'Truly, speaking is too touble some.'
Baiqian eyes teared up. Anything that could improve talent was already rare enough yet her master was able to refine four pills that could do exactly that for her...they could even be used multiple times and the only side effect would be some pain! "I...something like this must be extremely priceless right?" The ingredients used to refine the pill certainly couldn't be ordinary either. Rare ingredients were often guarded by even rarer beasts with high cultivation.
"I won't let you down!" Baiqian exclaimed with determination burning in her ruby orbs. Her hands shakily reached out to grip the small medicine bottle, Baiqian was slightly suprised by how cold it was to the touch but soon, firmly holding in fear of damaging it's contents.
"Go." Yinyue's mouth curled up into a small, almost unnoticeable smile.
It was amusing to Yinyue how power determined everything, no matter the time, no matter the place, no matter the situation. Power determined your place in the world. "No. Not just power, luck too...so many people similar to us Baiqian, but only we turned our situations around..luck gave me a new beginning and in turn, it gave you a new one too. How funny..."
