And thus immediately, it was not enough that the people lifted their heads. At this moment, they rose to their feet and, thus, at the peak of their voices; they chorused a loud cheer in the name of the Khaladi.
Even so, it did not mean Adeline felt a wave of wanting to be the Khaladi, however; she had not been without being amazed that the people thought she was the Khaladi.
And thus she turned to the old man. "I declared myself. Now undo this curse," Adeline instructed.
However, she would not accept the staff the old man stretched at her earlier. It was a lie, and just like it had happened earlier, except that the old man was grabbed, he stretched the staff to Adeline again. "Take this, it belongs to the great mother and can only be wielded by the Khaladi," the old man said.
And Adeline took the staff from him. Yet she felt nothing holding the staff. And in her thoughts, this was nothing but another piece of wood with stupid paintings.
