Wiping profusely at the tears that were making frequent appearances that weren't welcomed she wasted no time taking out the keys to her car when she was in the parking lot. Moving briskly towards her the vehicle she faltered in her movements when she heard a noise that sounded akin to a caged animal not too far from where she was. Pausing briefly believing she probably misheard she turned to find the position at which she parked her car was directly across from another vehicle where two figures stood. Although she knew it was probably for the best she looked away for some odd reason she couldn't, especially when one of the males seemed to sense her presence and looked directly at her. "Looks like we have an audience, you sure you want to rip my throat out in front of her!" he sneered pushing the larger man who grew stiff turning to look at her. A gasp slipped past her lips at the flash of molten gold irises that observed her, but the colour of them wasn't the thing that had her shocked. It was the fact those eyes belonged to the man she had seen at the stream whose name she'd come to learn was Silas.
"She has nothing to do with this, Reagan!" Silas snapped, only to have Reagan shift forward and lunged for him in the blink of an eye. A shriek erupted from her throat watching both men tussle, but it was apparent Silas was far superior and punched him in the face causing him to land on the ground with a hard thud. The hit would've been enough to cause anyone to be out cold but alas Reagan stood to his feet his eyes flashing a dangerous red that had her heart sinking at the sight before her whilst rendering the rest of her body to move from her spot.
"SAUL IS COMING FOR YOU AND SOON HE'LL BATHE IN YOUR BLOOD!!"
"If your skills are anything to come by, your army is fucking pathetic," the stranger replied nonchalantly moving menacingly forward and in a second he had his hand tightly wrapped around the other man's neck. Tightening his hold on the poor man's neck all her senses had grown dull at the scene that appeared to be a manifestation of one's fears. With his legs no longer touching the ground, his ragged breaths filled the air as the man with golden eyes looked on with murderous intent, once she caught sight of his teeth she let out a scream at the elongated teeth.
Silas' eyes flashed towards hers having completely forgotten he had an audience and in a second he threw the rogue's limp body on the ground that had been on the brink of death. The sight of her looking mortified had him ready to cower away knowing the last thing he wanted was for her to see him like that. But the damage had already been done on that quiet street and when she made a move to run he wasted no time in following his urges to follow her. It wasn't long before she felt her arm being yanked that she collided into a solid chest, "N-NO! NO! L-LET ME GO!" she screamed feeling him throw her body over his shoulder as if she weighed nothing. Her arms and legs flailed as the panic sunk in that her end had come.
And although the possibility of her end nearing seemed evident she didn't stop fighting, she'd be damned if she just gave up. With the large man moving briskly she kept yelling in the hopes someone would offer her aid but when he placed her on her feet she reached up to punch him only to have her hand grasped firmly rendering her arm trapped. Pushing his body into hers, tingles reverberated throughout her system and the golden eyes burned fiercely causing her legs to tremble. "I mean you no harm, woman," he rasped his voice coming out a lot deeper than she remembered. "This isn't how I wanted it to play out, but I'm left with no choice," he murmured eyeing her profile that shook like a leaf facing tumultuous winds.
With his wolf in full control after facing an attack, a possessive side that emerged from the moment he first saw her emerged and without a second thought he leaned forward towards the flesh where her neck and shoulder met and dug his teeth there. Although he knew it was dangerous what he was doing openly digging his teeth onto the human, he couldn't help it. The need to protect her had completely blinded his senses and when one considers the smell of another male on her body, all his logic was non-existent and no matter how hard she tried to push him away she was left with no choice but to succumb to the tremendous amount of pain that spread throughout her body simultaneously draining all her strength.
In the end she collapsed against his body spent till she all but allowed the darkness to surround her. Feeling her body grow limp in his arms, the molten gold faded away and once he realized what had happened he cursed seeing her unconscious body. "Shit, way to make an impression," he muttered running a frustrated hand through his hair, he reached up and wiped the last remnants of her blood that he was sure was smeared down his chin and picked her up.
The feel of her plush body immediately eased him and he tightened his hold upon her already soaking in the warm feel of it as he opened the door to his truck and placed her in it gently. No doubt the minute she woke up she'd be terrified of him and that was truly the last thing Silas wanted. When he initially met her his plan had been to talk to her more, court her and eventually begin exposing her to his world but alas fate had other plans. Plans that involved him immediately coming across as a bloodthirsty beast, but he couldn't allow Reagan to place his hands upon her, not when he had waited so long to find her.
Starting the car, the engine revved to life and he paid very little attention to Reagan's body already believing he would be near death. It was his fault for the most part for drawing unnecessary attention to her but when he saw her again at the stream he couldn't believe it and as a result he ended up unintentionally placing a cloak of protection that was covered in his scent over her body, claiming her. If he had known that Reagan one of Saul's minions would be there at the club ready to gallivant with the human females he wouldn't have done it, but he was glad he happened to follow her and stopped the crazed rogue before anything happened.
As the car moved along the quiet road, Silas had no problem admitting that once he was hit with her scent of fresh grass and roses he was lured in. The night when he and his wolf had decided to go for a walk to patrol the territory and he saw her looking so beautiful standing on the balcony with a sky void of any moon and stars, he couldn't believe it. He had gone to Swanson Peak along with his Beta, Ivan and top warriors to discuss a few issues with Alpha Morris the possibility of forming an alliance. Both he and Silas had been dealing with more attacks from the rogue pack that was led by a disgruntled being by the name of Saul who had been banished by the previous leader of Silas' pack. He had tried to insight a war that aimed to wipe out humans.
Saul had grown bitter about Silas getting chosen over him and though he believed banishing Saul would be enough to coerce him out of such a plan β Silas had been wrong. In fact he went on to create a pack of his own. As a result Silas joining forces with Morris should the occasion arise if he needed him would help considering they were leaders of the largest packs in the country. It was just his luck Morris shared the same views that involved werewolves and humans living peacefully together, and knew the only way to prohibit humans from getting extinct meant taking down Saul.
Hearing light snores emanate throughout the car; he smiled gently peeking in her direction to observe her landscapes looking forward to exploring them. With her long eyelashes that protected eyes the color of Irish coffee, he couldn't quite believe he had been blessed with a goddess like her. With her high cheekbones that acted like a map that revealed a slender jaw, full plump lips that sat just below a Nubian nose Silas knew he would do all he could to keep her by his side.
