Walking through the streets of 'new rock' was like walking in an urban jungle.Shops at every turn, restaurants, alley ways,subways and other thing
It was peaceful and calm, people moved around the city with smiles on their faces and a spring In their steps.
But underneath this peaceful metropolis was a wasteland. Drugs, prostitution,money laundering you mention it, all of these and more were going on in the city
The strong were those at the top of the food chain. They ruled the city from the shadows, instilling corruption.They extorted and did all sorts of shady things in the shadows
And the weak? well the weak were treated as slaves who work day and night just to be extorted or robbed.
But what could be the reason for these ordinary people to have smiles on their faces?
well, you can't kill the people if not how will they work for you?so the strong give them jobs and hope so as not to break them.
They moved about their daily activities with hope in their hearts. They believed in the police and the military to provide support for them.
And one of this ordinary people was Kristen Cin
Walking through the city with a carefree step,with a carefree expression, occasionally greeting people on the road,he was not ugly but also not handsome or maybe his handsomeness was hidden from the eye by his malnourished body and eyebags.
having bewitching crystal green eyes and a sharp jaw he stood out among the crowd
he walked down the street then entered a bar. It was a typical bar with people drinking, playing games, with some smoking
Kristen moved towards the man at the counter and greeted
"Good morning old joe and give me the usual"
"Hey kid, coming right up"
old joe said in his deep and rapsy voice.
as dues sat down he could not help but notice someone sat beside him
Kristen gave her a side glance and was a little bit stunned.
First of all she wore a hood that covered a good part of her face but the part that got exposed was bewitching to say the least. She had smooth jade white skin and small but cute lips which were curved up in a teasing smile
"Hey I you going to keep staring don't you know that's rude"
Kristen hearing the voice akin to smooth silk could not but gaze longer before coming back to his senses and saying
"I would keep staring if you do not find that rude"
the small lips curved up more before saying
"bartender give me a sapphire please"
old joe looked up a bit before saying one word
"coming"
"are you new around this area?"
dues asked
she gazes at him for a bit although they were hidden under the hood and the said with an amused voice
"are you trying to hit on me"
Kristen was stunned with a dropped jaw, he didn't know how to replied to that question but he thought
'fuck it, I'll just do it was the worst that could happen '
so gathering his courage he said
"yes"
The girl laughed a bit before saying
"young man hold that thought although you seem like my type, there others looking for me so please don't think that again "
"here are your drinks"
at this moment old joe arrived with both their drinks
"thanks" they both replied to him
and he moved to serve other customers
The girl then pulled down her hood and when she did the whole bar went silent for a moment.Everyone was stunned at the angel that appeared before them, even Kristen was stunned that his jaw was hitting the ground
"*chuckle* you see why I told you r hold that thought "
the girl smiled then said
Kristen was too stunned to hear what she was saying. He snapped out of his trance and could not help but shudder at the sight of the girl
.she was simply perfect with short black hair and an oval face with bangs outlining it
"I never really caught your name"
Kristen asked while sipping his drink
"Rhea"said she with an unreadable expression
"mine's Kristen" an exited teenager said
"well it was nice meeting you Kristen"
she said as she stood up from her bar stool after paying the bill
" you too" Kristen said with a somewhat sad face

"what's that, aren't you going to ask me for my number or something"
Rhea said with a playful voice
"*sigh* I would if I had...a...phone" Kristen sigh then smiled bitterly and said with a Shame full voice
"ohh that I am sorry for". Rhea said sorrowful
she was about to continue when suddenly a voice interrupted
"well am not"
The bar was suddenly turn noisy as men in black suit stormed the place with sunglasses they looked like the typical security guards
Behind them was a man more like a young man with black hair that reached his neck and blue eyes that could trap anyone of the opposite gender
he was talk standing 6"3 at his age and had a terrifying smile on his face
he walked into the bar and looked around before spitting then he moved towards Rhea with a smile on his face.
"Jennifer what a surprise,I was just passing and didn't expect to see you here"
" Cut the bullshit Dennis I knew you followed me but I just don't know how you found me when my dad could not"
'Rhea' or Jennifer said with an annoyed expression
"don't worry about this useless things and tell me who is this"
the man whoose identity is now known as Dennis said as he looked at Kristen
He was a young master of a powerful organization in to city and his father was a lord he was given a 24k gold spoon since birth and had the best of everything which Is to say he lacked nothing
And he has always admired Jennifer for her beauty and cuteness that could instill lust in anyone. He Turned into a stalker and his obsession for Jennifer was through the roof.
He felt bored so he moves out to find Jennifer and maybe go on a date even though he knew he was going to be rejected, then he sees a young man who he could obliterate with a snap of his finger talking to his number one crush
"keep him out of this and let's go"
said Jennifer with some urgency in her voice
Dennis looked at Kristen for a moment then he smiled
"on account of our friendship I will leave him let's go"
Then they proceeded to go out of the bar
once out of the bar Dennis turned to a man with a scar on his face then said
" find out everything about that boy and I mean everything"
the scar face smiled then said
"will do boss, will do"
"Good"
Dennis said with a cold expression then it changed to a smile and nobody knew what he was thinking under that terrifying smile.
they entered a black Cadillac, once inside Dennis said
"there is unrest with the higher ups"
"it's about time, those crap heads,acting all high and mighty"
said Jennifer before she proceeded to ignore Dennis totally

Kristen walked back home still shocked about what happened at the bar he was still thinking about Jennifer. He knew she was out of his league but he could not help thinking of her.
He reached his apartment which was a bit isolated from others. As he walked through the hall ways he say a middle aged man.when the man saw Kristen he smiled and greeted
"morning Kris back from your night shift?"
"yes uncle Ben"
said Kristen with a smile on his face
Then he proceeded to go into his apartment,after taking off his shoes, he shouted
"Mom,dad am home!!"
"kris darling how are you welcome"
from the kitchen came a beautiful woman with long black hair and black eyes. She had the perfect hour glass figure but she was aged at about 49
"Am fine mom,where's dad?"
kris answered. He looked at his mom and could not help but feel blessed he had a beautiful and caring mom and an reliable father and also a smart sister who was a school
kris dropped out of school because his father lost his job and could not care for the family because of an accident
"ohh your father went out"
susan Kris' mother said with a sad voice
seeing this Kristen could not help but sigh because he knew what his father was up to.
Ever since he lost his job from the accident, he was emotionally broken and then he recovered but was no longer at his prime so finding a job was unrealistic.
but Kristen swore and promised to be a rich man so he could fend for his family
