"Arthur, wake up."
I immediately opened my eyes when I heard someone calling my name clearly. Then, I see Eve in front of me with a fresher face than before. I'm glad to see her getting better.
"Oh, you've come to your senses," I replied, sitting cross-legged and looking at the small fireplace where the wood was burning to ashes.
"Did you do this to me?" Eve asked, pointing at her well-bandaged calf.
"You could say so, but I didn't do it alone."
"Then with whom did you do it?" Eve asked, curious.
"Bernard."
"Bernard? Who is he?"
"He's just an ordinary person coming down from the hill after hunting, the old man who invited us in. Do you remember?" I asked. Eve shook her head.
I realized she closed her eyes because of the wound when we arrived. So it was natural that
"It doesn't matter if you remember it or not. The most important thing is that you are safe and fine," I replied, smiling as I tucked dry wood into the dim fireplace.
I saw that it was getting dark outside the hut; some insects could be heard accompanying our night in the forest. Luckily there was a fireplace and logs from the kind man. Otherwise, I might have spent the dark night with Eve.
"But even though you were helped, you did well. I remember very well that arrow was stuck so deep in my calf," Eve said.
It wasn't easy to get that thing out of Eve's feet, but if you tried hard, whatever the problem was, it would be resolved properly.
"Yes, you want to see it?" I asked, holding the metal bowl out in front of Eve.
She picked up the arrowhead and oversaw it. I don't know what she's doing; I think that arrowhead is like any other arrowhead.
"Is there something wrong?"
"Nothing, it's just that these arrowheads look different," Eve replied, squinting as she looked at the iron arrowheads covered in dried blood.
"I don't know what you're thinking, but to me, it's the same," I replied.
Eve put the arrowhead back into the metal bowl. Then, she bent her back against the hut wall while stretching her legs forward. I did that because for some reason, it was so cold here.
"Once they start chasing you, what will you do?" Eve asked me.
"I don't know, but it looks like we can't go back to your house. The Union must have surrounded the house from all sides," I replied, thinking about the worst possible outcome of their action.
"If that's the case, then we should start leaving Stockhelm and go to my hometown," Eve said.
"Are you sure? I mean, are you sure you want to take me there?" I asked, Eve nodding without a doubt.
I also can't do anything; if I can go back and take all my money there, maybe I can freely go to all places in this kingdom. However, I'm dealing with death, and I don't want to play around with it.
"The important thing is that you have brought your sword and staff. So you won't have any more trouble," Eve said, noting my staff and sword that lay close to the hut wall.
"Yes, that is so. I'm worried about Seth and Alain's condition; those two are my first friends in this world," I said.
Seth's pain still haunts my mind as it haunts me. I don't want something like that to happen again, but it's very naive to see the conditions of the world being full of violence.
"They're fine. Before leaving, I'm going to visit one of my friends. I trust her to look after Seth and Alain," said Eve.
"What do you mean?" I asked, confused.
"I'm going to tell her to get Seth and Alain to join their group. At least if they join, we can still keep an eye on them and prevent them from joining the Alliance or Guild," Eve replied a brilliant idea.
She helped me so much, be it in practice or things that made me quite nervous. I can't repay all the kindness that she gave me one by one. If I could, how should I repay all of her kindness?
"All right. I believe in you," I said.
"But the old man said that you shouldn't move your right leg until it's dry," I replied, Eve smiling.
"Don't worry about it. I can still run even though I only have one left foot left."
I nod, not meaning to be disbelieving but from what I'm seeing at the moment. She was pretty troubled when her right foot was hit by an arrow, but with maximum conditions and not raining, she could have proved what she just said.
"Maybe since it's getting late, we'll decide whether we're leaving tomorrow morning or not." I immediately stood up and looked out of the hut. There is no lighting other than a fireplace in this place. It's kind of scary to see the forest's darkness at night like this.
"Okay, let's just hope I'll get better until morning comes," Eve said, pulling the blankets off and starting to sleep on the not-so-dirty wooden hut.
I noticed the woman fell asleep quickly. I suspect her pain is much greater than it seems, so she gets tired quickly and chooses to rest her body with good hopes for tomorrow.
Unlike Eve, I prefer to see my status information. Seeing what kind of progress I've gone through and how many levels I've gotten, considering that almost half of the swarm of goblins I've managed to kill.
My level change went up drastically, from level 7 to level 10. I'm sure that killing one goblin cost some EXP points. Not only the level, but the change in my character's stats is clearly visible.
Among the six significant elements that increase significantly are strength, proficiency, and intelligence. I got an increase in strength and proficiency for successfully killing a goblin using my 1st skill, while I got intelligence after helping pull an arrow from Eve's leg.
[Strength: 0010 (+4)]
[Proficiency: 0005 (+5)]
[Intelligent: 0011 (+4)]
The rest of the other statuses have increased, although not significantly. My eyes are fixed on the red dot that is in skill one. Immediately I pressed the button, and a command appeared to choose one of the orders, either white or red ordos.
I still don't understand the difference between the two orders. However, if I waited any longer, it was possible that I would be left even further behind with the other Adamas.
I pressed the 'Red Ordo' button with complete confidence, and the alert message disappeared quickly. I watched carefully. Skill two began to open and displayed the shape of a person swinging a spear in a circle with a red background.
"What's the meaning of this?" I muttered, wondering.
My second skill is called 'Spinning Dragon', which is quite a unique name considering that I don't have any dragons at all.
Due to high curiosity, I decided to try this second skill outside the hut. I'm looking for a tree that isn't that big as a medium for my second skill training. Finally, I was able to find the media I was looking for. It was not too far from the location of the wooden hut.
My fingers immediately pressed the circle button and instantly transformed the stick shape into a perfect spear. Next, I focused my grip on the spear's handle, looking seriously at the medium-sized tree in front of me.
"Spinning Dragons!"
I felt my body moving on its own, like someone was controlling it. I immediately spun violently by showing a bright red flash; one turn caused a deep cut in the tree trunk.
The rotation was so fast that I had to fall because I failed to balance myself. Come to think of it, the Red Ordo menu was amazing.
"Awesome skill."
