Elisabeth's POV
It was already night time and we all are in our rooms. I slept for only 1 hour with Ethan's arm around my waist and I couldn't sleep anymore. The time shows 3AM. It's 3 AM and I can't sleep. I sit up on the bed carefully as his arms slide to my lap. I slowly got out of the bed to make sure I didn't wake him up. I positioned myself to sit on the window sill looking at the night sky. It was dark blue with a bright moon. I smiled at the sight in front of me. I sigh and breath in the night air along with the wind that plays with my hair.
Suddenly, I felt a pair of strong arms around my waist. I jumped in shock "What are you doing at this time?" His deep husky voice calms me within a second "Did I wake you up?" I felt guilty. "No, I wake up by myself" He said kissing my cheek as I blush lightly. "I can't sleep" I pouted. He chuckled "You can't sleep? Let me help you" He picked me up bridal style and started walking towards the bed. He lay me down beside him with my back facing him. His arms around my waist and pulled me against his hard-rock chest. My head was just under his chin so he rest it there. He take my hand and started making circles on them "Now close your eyes and go to sleep" He kissed my head "Goodnight" he said before I slowly drifted to sleep.
I wake up again in the morning this time and opened my eyes slowly. I move a little bit but his body wasn't there. I panicked and quickly sit up to look where he is. He came out of the washroom with a towel around his waist. When I look at him my jaw dropped as I turned red. Oh My God He got abs! and those muscle curved perfectly. He looked like a Greek God or something. Water dropped from his wet hair making him look even perfect. He smirked at me "What? Never seen a boy without a shirt on?" He teased making me blush even more as I covered myself back in the covers. He chuckled "Good morning to you too Lizzy" He kissed my head through the covers.
"Get yourself a shirt can you?" I mumbled under the cover. "You can come out now you know" I poke my head out of the covers and his face was inches from mine. He grinned and I blushed again "What are you doing?" He got closer to my ear "I took my shirt but you didn't say for me to get of from you" He whispered "You're such a flirt Ethan Black" I struggled to get up "I know" He whispered as he drop himself on top of me "Ack!" I squeaked as he chuckled "You know you're heavy" I said in between my breath. Then he rolled to the side so that I was on top of him. "Thank you" I was about to get up when he pulled me back against him. I looked at him "Okay, What do you want Mr. Sneaky?" I smirked "Oh nothing, just don't wanna let you go" He looked at me smiling so innocent. "Waaa, I wanna have my shower" I whined as I struggled against his hold on me.
"How's your morning Lizzy?" I looked at him "What do you think?" I glared at him as he chuckled again "Don't be so grumpy with me" He pouted and lets me go "Finally, My bath!" I quickly take my clothes and take my time showering. After some time, I finished my bath and walk out fresh. He looked at me and nodded with a grin "What?" I said questioningly. "Nothing, just you looking good in that shirt" He said. I shake my head and he laughed. We both head to the dining room to have breakfast hand in hand. When we reach there, everyone was already there "Good morning son, Liz" Claire said "Morning!" I said cheerfully. We sat on our chairs and food started being served. We ate in silents when suddenly Tyler spoke "So, I haven't finished about what we talked about the other day at the office. So I will say it now" He said looking at both his sons. "I've told you that I have a assignment for you two to do at the north part of the pack" He said making Andrew and Ethan look at him "You have to go there immediately without the girls" My head and Ruby's head jolt up in shock while Andrew choked on his drink and Ethan glared at him. "Why?" Ethan said in an angry tone "Because I don't want your assignment to be disturbed by them" He said drinking.
"Didn't you see what happen yesterday? What happens when I leave Lizzy for a second? I almost lost her!" Ethan shouted at him as got up from his chair and slam the table.
"Don't slam my table!" He shouted back
"Let us bring the girls then"
"You- I'm not going to fight you again now" Tyler backed down
"Then let us take the girls with us" Ethan snapped
"That's Enough!" It's Tyler's turn to stand up and slam the table as we all flinch "I don't care how much you pleaded me but my answer will remain 'No'" He glared at Ethan. "Don't you care about us anymore dad? You want us to loose our mates because they're human?! I can't believe you. You were the one who pushed us to find our mates, and when we do, you wanted to kill them?! Wow, What a father I have" He shouted angrily before storming out of the door. I tried to grab him but he disappeared so quickly. I stand up and excuse myself before running after him
I ran everywhere to find him and finally managed to find him on the bench in the garden. His head on his hands. My heart softened and I sigh in relief to find him. I sit beside him as his body stiffened. "Hey... You okay?" I touched his back to comfort him "I just- I don't wanna loose you anymore Lizzy, I-I can't. You're very important to me" He said in a shaky voice. My heart ache at seeing him like this so I grab his face so that he looked at me "Listen, you're not going to loose me okay? It will be only a few days before you came back to me right? So I will be fine. Besides, I have Ruby" I smiled hopping it will cheer him up. Instead of replying, he hugged me tight with my arms caged in between his body and mine, his head buried on my neck as he muttered "Thank You Lizzy" I smiled and ruffled his hair "You're Welcome Ethan"
We are now walking back to the dining room to talk with his dad. We entered the room and sit at our chairs. It was so silent when Ethan broke it "I've made my decision" He said as we all looked at him. I took his hand to make him not to blow up again as he looked at me "My decision is to follow your orders dad. But if something happened to Lizzy, I'm going home that instant" He said "Fair enough" His father replied "You two may pack your things and get going" He nodded and dismissed himself. "I'm so proud of you" I whisper to his ear as he smiled and kissed my head "Only because you're here with me Lizzy" He whispered back and I blush lightly.
