A/N: Well last chapter was hot ass, even I was bored writing abt it. And I will apologise for the last chaps quality, this one will be leagues better. And last chapter I had someone confused about how mister main character uses his heart beat to see even though he's blind. All I can tell you is that you shouldn't think about it. This arc is gonna have some super human feats, just don't worry about it and read ðŸ˜
Valier POV:
I stood still as I waited for monstrously built man to make a move. I could feel the strength within those bulging muscles emanating from within his body. This was a fight where I truly would have nothing to fall onto if things went south. I couldn't be careless.
A single blow from that thing would probably be lethal, the man began to lumber towards me and I prepared myself. I was currently blind, so things were pretty hard right now. But, my other senses had become extra ordinary. My skin sensitivity had significantly improved, that was how I was able to use my heartbeat to create the spacial maps.
As the man approached me, I prepared myself, I genuinely didn't know if I'd survive. This is the second time I've been in a fight in this world where I can't guarantee my own life. The man edged closer and closer to me, granules of sand shook beneath us and the crowd silently watched us.
The man swung the battle axe in his left hand vertically and swung the one in his right hand horizontally, effectively creating a right angle. The attack was fast, but not so fast that I couldn't follow it. I jumped and landed on the axe that was being swung vertically. I was light, so my additional weight wasn't able to stop the man from swinging his axes. But, now that I was on his axe, I had a foothold. I aimed the rapier at his jugular vein and thrust it forward.
The behemoth of a man turned his head around, and allowed the left side of his neck to bear brunt of the attack. Just as the tip of my rapier stabbed into his skin, he tensed the muscles in his neck and rapidly turned his head and waist around, due to the unnatural amount of muscle on his neck and the power generated by his waist, I was sent flying.
I understood what had happened, when he tensed his neck muscles it was like he was grabbing my rapier. And then with his sheer raw power and strength he had thrown me. The man brought a finger to his slightly injured neck and tasted the blood on it.
Suddenly, a hysterical set of laughs overtook the arena. That man was laughing?
"Child, I have to apologise, I was going to end this fight as quickly as possible. But... now that you've drawn my blood... I don't think I can control myself anymore."
The man charged at me, moving at speeds that a juggernaut like him really shouldn't be able to move at. But I could still see him, so long as he didn't move faster than what I could percept, I was confident in my victory.
The behemoth swung his axe downwards, I took a slight step back and the axe landed around 3 or four centimetres infront of me. I had decided that the best way to conserve my energy would be to make the tiniest moves possible, and with an enemy who's attacks weren't too fast, I could afford to stay within close range.
I aimed my rapier at his radial artery, the man seemed to understand that he wouldn't be able to move his arm in time. So, he decided to forsake his left arm and he swung his right arm at me.
I sped up my attack by jerking my body forward, and at the same time I used that little boost I got from jerking body forward to dodge his attack. My rapier pierced his artery, and then blood began to seap from his arm. A huge cloud of sand was produced from the gust of air that his punch had created. I could tell that I'd have broken several bones from that attack, I'd have been winded even if it grazed me.
The man watched in horror as more and more blood came out of his arm. What was once a tiny hole that could barely produce any blood, had gone on to become a fountain of blood. Even if the attack I landed on his arm was small, the wound in his artery had slowly become bigger and bigger due to the amount of blood gushing out of it.
The Gladiator grabbed his arm and began to crush and twist it, this was to prevent blood from flowing any further. If too much blood was released from his body, he'd probably faint and get killed by me. Or he'd just straight up die.
His arm was now a mangled mess of blood, bone and muscle. I could 'see' fragments of bones loitered around the battle field. I wasted no time in making my advance. I once again aimed my rapier at his jugular vein, the man used his right arm to punch me. His blow connected to my rib cage and shattered several bones, the shattered bones embedded themselves into my muscles.
I crashed into a wall which only furthered my injuries. I tried my best to stand up, but with each movement I made, I could my broken bones shredding through my muscles. Some of the bones were weaker than others, so they ended up breaking from the power of my muscles which only lead to more fragments of bone being made.
"I'm so fucked... this isn't even funny."
I laughed to myself as the man began approaching me.
