"Good morning, Mr Kiel."
Miss Anna smiled as she pulled the papers from the printer with her cup of morning coffee.
The man, who was busy arranging the weekly released documents, nodded and then greeted her back. "Good morning, Miss Anna."
The lady put everything in one folder and pointed at her drink. "Coffee?" she asked.
Kiel shook his head. "I already have one on the way. Thank you." he was about to turn around when the lady called him again.
"Mr Kiel, by the way. The lobby was looking for you. Miss Betty was looking for you." Her brows frowned, trying hard to recall what the women said to her earlier. "Oh! It was about the invitation."
Kiel agreed with her, taking all the last piece of paper from the printer. "Thank you for reminding me. I already took it earlier." he replied, turning around to where he would go.
Miss Anna suddenly felt disheartened by the short interaction with the man. She did all her best to dress today because she wanted Kiel to compliment her, at least. However, knowing her place, she shouldn't be sulking.
Kiel Arnoux was known around the company as the righteous and obedient assistant of the president. Some even called him the president's pet or dog. But he remained calm and ignored those gossips.
One of the reasons why Miss Anna adored him more.
Meanwhile, Kiel went to the second floor because he had a meeting with Devyn's designer. He told Miss Feng to wait for him because he also had a conversation regarding the V Hotel's accommodation.
When he entered the 2nd floor's lobby, the woman stood from her seat and greeted him with a wide smile. "Mr Kiel, Good morning. Did I come late?" She gave him a shake of hands.
Kiel took her hands. "Not really. In fact, you're early, Miss Feng. Thank you for your presence." Then the two of them sat down on the sofa.
The woman then started to talk and converse about Devyn's style of clothing. It took them only half an hour to finish.
Kiel asked the guards to accompany Miss Feng outside. He went back up the floors to meet Devyn and get her opinion about the said thing. When he opened the office, Devyn was already halfway finished with her work.
She was just sorting the data from the new company investors she will be joining in a meeting after lunch. She tilted her head and gazed at her assistant.
"Mr Kiel, I would like you to deliver this datas to the lower floor and ask them for a review. I can't go into that meeting without asking my employees' opinion on these proposals." She said.
The man nodded and replaced the folder with the one in his hands. "President, this is Miss Feng's design for your party tonight. I also contacted the V Hotel and told them to double check everything, especially the accommodation."
The lady took the folders. "Thank you. I will just call Miss Feng about this." she scanned the designs thoroughly.
It wasn't that kind of party where you have to listen to DJs or something like loud music. The Fenrir Clan was in the 3rd line when it came to this city's wealthy families. Their clan was known for having such intelligent dominant alphas in their generation.
Seeing the designs earlier, Kiel for sure knows that the alphas will flock around Devyn like dust under the sun. It's not because she was a dominant omega, but also because they wanted to have ties with her family as well.
"How about you? Did you already settle your suit, Kiel?" Devyn put down the folder and looked at her assistant.
"Don't worry about me, President. I got everything settled." The man replied.
Devyn seemed amused. "How are you able to handle this?" She looked in the folders and then at the guy. Seeing that everything was already settled by Kiel. Sometimes, she's still surprised by him.
"I am just doing my job, President," the man replied.
The female chuckled. "Okay, okay. I get it. Return the papers to me after asking for reviews."
"Do you have something in mind you want to eat for lunch? Madame told me to not let you skip meals." Kiel checked his wristwatch to make sure that he's not that disturbing.
Devyn smirked. "Oh, really?" she leaned her back. "How about we eat lunch together? In that way, you'll see me eating well, too." She pouted her lips. "My assistant will not ditch me, right?"
Sometimes Kiel wanted to ask the lady about her pretty pouting to him. It's just that Devyn wasn't this comfortable in front of the other alphas. She's always this composed and cold towards them. Is it because he's a recessive one?
"If that's what the president wants, then let's eat lunch together. I will reserve a restaurant on my way down." He nodded. "Now, please excuse me."
On his way down, Kiel distributed the papers on the desk personally and asked them to make a review within 30 minutes. He sat on the empty desk there, which he sometimes used as his work spot while waiting.
He sat there and observed everyone. Somehow, he felt proud of working here. He can tell that Devyn is very strict when it comes to work, but she never sets aside her employees' side. She's always asking for their opinions first before approving those proposals from other investors.
Then, after a couple of minutes. The employees stood from their desk cubicles and returned the papers to him. While Kiel was arranging everything, lunchtime came, too.
"Here.." Miss Anna lastly gave him the data. "Thank you for working hard, Mr Kiel." she smiled sweetly.
"You, too, Miss Anna." the guy said back.
"Uhmm, Mr Kiel?" Feeling the silence followed by the man's answer. She took the initiative to ask again. "Since it was lunchtime," she fidgeted with her fingers, feeling shy. "D-Do you want to h-have lunch with me?"
Kiel paused and looked her in the eyes, but the moment he was about to open his mouth, he felt something warm wrapped around his waist. Another figure leaned on his right shoulder.
Miss Anna immediately flinched back after seeing who it was. She abruptly bowed. "G-Good noon, President!"
A smirk occupied Devyn's lips. "Hello there, Miss Anna. Are you finished reviewing the datas I asked?"
The other lady nodded. "Yes, President. Thank you for working hard."
Devyn tapped the girl on the shoulders. "Same to you." then she looked back at Kiel. "Now if you'll excuse us. I have a lunch meeting with my assistant."
