"Are you saying, Aditi, is at my restaurant??" Aditya asked in disbelief, it has been months since he last saw his little twin sister, Aditi. She just left home with a goodbye note and never for once ever tried to contact him or her family back.
He was very disappointed with her decision to leave home. At least, she could have told him, he wasn't hurt about the fact she left, he was hurt because she didn't trust him about this.
He and their parents have been looking for her since then, she managed to live away from their presence for quite a while now. With each day passing, he is worried about how she would be managing things on her own, she is a very well pampered girl. He never thought once that she would leave them for a mere guy.
"Yes, Sir, you should arrive here before they leave," The manager told him over the phone.
"They?" Aditya asked.
"Yeah, she is here with her husband," He replied. So Aditi finally married Kevin, he thought.
"Ok, I'll be there in ten minutes," Aditya said and hung up the phone. He drove to the restaurant straight, wasting no time. He had many complaints and questions for his sister to answer but before them, he wanted to see her, talk to her and hold her against his chest.
Unfortunately, when he reached there, they had already left after paying the bill. He quickly contacted the guards and told them to show him the security camera which is placed in the dining room. He expected to see her with Kevin. When he took a glimpse at the monitors, what he saw shook the guts out of him.
"Are you sure this guy is her husband?" Aditya questions the manager.
He nods as a response, "Yes, Sir, that's what she told me,"
The guy wasn't Kevin, someone else whom Aditya had no idea of, he had once met Kevin when Aditi brought him home to meet their parents, then who is he? And why was Aditi married to him? What happened to Kevin? Tons of more questions bombarded his mind. One thing, he was sure of was that his parents will never be happy or will ever accept Aditi's marriage to this guy.

After Aditi and Hugh finished their dinner, she paid the bill, and he brought her to a five-story building made up of bricks which is basically where he lives for now. He brought out her stuff from the cab, carrying it in his hands.
They entered through the vast steel door, the passage was miserable from the number of problems here, ceiling light kept blinking, walls were leaking rainwater, not to mention the smell of rotten garbage coming from somewhere. And the watchman slept on his duty behind the desk with his legs on it.
Aditi realized a spider was crawling on her arm as she immediately brushed it off her, screaming her heart out, disgustingly.
"Horrible! How can you live here?!" She asked him, squeezing her arms together to avoid meeting more creatures.
"Look, once you enter there's no returning so still wanna stay with me?" He asks, smirking at her.
She sheaths her long stole around her body, nodding confidently at him, "Yes, let's go to your apartment," She said, walking up the stairs since the elevator of this building is always out of order.
He shook his head, following her behind, he guided her to the fourth floor, passing it. She saw five doors on both sides as he lived in four zero three, most of their neighbor's doors were locked, it doesn't seem like except for him and a couple of people, anyone else lives on this floor.
She noticed a group of men in the end corner of the floor, lighting cigarettes and having cans of beer, talking rubbish about women. One of them caught Aditi looking at them as she quickly averted her eyes away, pretending she had never seen them.
Speaking of the fact, she is still in her skin-revealing Lehenga, even though she has her stole wrapped around, it is made up of cloth net, her skin was still apparent for them to see.
"Hey, Hugh! Long time no see!" The guy who caught Aditi looking yelled. Anyone can grasp at the awful smell of liquor coming his way, from a distance, "And who is this beauty?" He asked.
"None of your business, Fred," Hugh hissed, taking off his jacket, he gave it to Aditi who happily used it to hide much of her revealed skin as he saw Fred staring directly at her.
"Ah, I see she is your new prostitute you brought her to fuck," Fred said as his friends laughed out, "Don't you know whores aren't allowed in here?"
Hugh shifted his attention to him, furiously. He loathed to his core when Fred called Aditi, his newly wedded wife, a prostitute. If he haven't care about her, he would have lent a punch straight at his mouth so he would think twice before speaking such nonsense.
"She's my wife, mind your words for her, " Hugh warned him.
"Wife?" He repeated in utter surprise, of course, he didn't buy it, there's no way a hot girl like her would be his wife, his surprise expression replaced by a mocking one as he laughed his soul at him, "Good joke, Hugh. Now be honest, you don't have to hide it from me. I am even ready to keep it only between us if you let us fuck her as well,"
Hugh strode right towards him, without a second thought, he punched across his face, he fell straight on the floor as his seated friends stood up, shocked by what just happened. Fred was bleeding both from his nose and mouth. Hugh turned to leave.
Hugh inserted keys into the lock, opening the door, "Go inside, Aditi," He told her. Her eyes trailed up to his injured knuckles.
"You're hurt, " She whispered.
"It is nothing," He said.
"You shouldn't have to do this for a Whore, Hugh! You'll pay for this!" Fred yelled as his friends helped him get up to his feet.
"She isn't a…whore!" Hugh shouted, going back to him he broke Fred's arms with a loud crack sound. He fell to his knees, crying out.
"We gotta take him to a hospital!" One of his friends cried out. They lifted him and led him towards the stairs as they immediately took him to a nearby hospital while flashing dead stares at him.
"Dickhead," Hugh mumbles, turning to Aditi, he gestures to her to get in. She nods, dumbfoundedly after seeing a new dangerous side of him. Entering, he placed her stuff in a corner as she met another miserable apartment. On the right side of the entrance was a mini bathroom that smelled worse than the passage. It has a washing machine that doesn't look like it has been used ever since.
On the other side was a kitchen, small and modern, the mountain of dirty plates was left in the sink to wash, she found many empty alcohol bottles and pizza boxes in the opened dustbin.
And in front, was his room, It looked like he hadn't dusted or cleaned his room in decades. His garments were spread across the floor, the wardrobe's door left open, some clothing falling from the hangers too. She glimpsed at the damaged mattress which was throwing its sponge out. The glass of the window had an apparent crack that leads to a small gallery. And the curtains looked like they had never been washed in ages.
"I would appreciate a little hygiene," Aditi mumbled to him, folding her hands against her chest.
"That's exactly how I live, babe, and from now you have to adopt this environment too," He replies in her ears.
No way on freaking earth, Aditi is going to think of living like shit here, she has never seen such a messy place before. She knew he was testing her out, and literally at this moment, she thought her decision to marry him was either out of stupidity.
"I want some privacy," She says, making a secret plan in her mind.
"I am in the shower," He told her, taking his towel from his chaotic bundles of clothes and walking toward the bathroom.
