Aditi got exhausted while waiting for Hugh, she didn't know what exactly to do the whole day all by herself, she took her laptop off the bag and jumped to look for jobs. It's time for her to use her fashion degree.
She kept checking out one after another job vacancies but none of them caught her interest because they weren't paying enough salary. She didn't have the options to select out of anyway, so she randomly applied, hoping someone would hire her. She has no wish to use up her savings too which are for her future business.
Laying back on the mattress, Aditi stared at the ceiling aimlessly, her mind kept drifting back to her past memories, she was extremely missing her family, her old life which was far better than how it is now. She planned billions of things for her future with Kevin but she is gaping at how she ended up here, marrying a stranger.
Speaking of which, she doesn't have his cell phone number either, stupid much, no? She's married to him and she hardly has any information that she could utilize to contact him to ask about his whereabouts. She is suddenly feeling worried for him.
Has she already developed 'Wifey' feelings in herself for Hugh? She felt tiny butterflies in her stomach just at the thought of it, she doesn't understand why. They literally met yesterday night, barely spent a day together, and nonetheless…she couldn't help her feelings.

On his way home, Hugh purchased Chinese Noodles from a restaurant with left money in his pocket, he knew Aditi definitely would be hungry. It's almost time for sunset too.
When he reached there, he unlocked the door with the keys and saw her already asleep on the mattress, the evening rays of sky kissing her skin, making it flicker like gold. He is marveling about how God can create such loveliness. However, he was surprised to still find her in his house, he anticipated that she would leave him the next morning when she would be out of her hangover state but she proved him wrong.
Does she truly wanna make this marriage work? Why? He hasn't given her any rigorous reasons too, no job, no home, nothing but, either way, he craved to see how far she can manage with him. A week? A month? A year? Or her entire life? Probably the last three possibilities weren't practical according to him.
No woman would like to stay with a guy like him for so long, that's why he dropped the hopes of a future with Aditi and stepped inside, shuffling away his shoes in a corner, he placed the paper bag with food in the Kitchen top and poured himself a glass of water.
Sensing someone's presence in the room, Aditi woke up, startled to death but only to sigh in relief when sees Hugh, standing against the kitchen counter having water while silently gazing at her, "You scared me!" She fusses.
"I didn't intend to, " Was his reply.
"Where were you?" She asks, slowly getting up from bed.
"Went for some work," Saying, he veers around to put the glass back.
"You could've told me before leaving, " Aditi said, walking over to his side, she notices food packages next to him, "What's this?"
"I bought dinner for us, " He replied, Aditi felt a knot in her stomach for calling him a thief earlier, in spite of that, it seems like he cares for her, "And you were deep in slumber in the morning that I don't feel like bothering your sleep, besides I told Mrs. Flynn to make breakfast for you, " He specifies.
"Yes, but next time, just wake me up before you leave anywhere, " She told him. He caught something in her voice, it was a concern for him. He didn't remember when last met someone, especially a woman concerned for him.
"Why? Were you worried?"
His question put her off guard for a nice moment. She would be lying if she said she wasn't worried about him, however, it was a little too soon for her to admit this. Everything was too much for her to wrap her head roughly, so she doesn't want to give him any wrong ideas either.
"By the way, why did you take money from my purse?" She slipped the earlier topic aside. Hugh noticed it but let it drop, for now, his hopes were high for a second that she might have started to like him more than just his physical touches, perhaps his heart.
It can't be possible, I know it too, he reminded himself and decided to answer her, "I needed it, I'll pay it back once I get it, " He says, leaving no room to doubt his words. Aditi couldn't do anything but nod at him.
"Let's have dinner then?" She asks.
"I don't have a table to eat on, '' He said, helplessly.
He helped her arrange plates on the floor, he thought she was going to feel awkward eating on the floor, having no table. Yet, there was not even a slight discomfort in her expression. She folded her legs in Indian style and began to eat with her hands, he knows that's her culture, he eats with his hands as well, but that is out of messiness. Living alone for quite a while made him this way, he just simply never cared about anything until now since he is married.
She flashed a smirk at him, "No worries, I am Indian, remember?"
