Synopsis
A man experiences a painful death after living a not so great life. When he opens his eyes he finds himself in a warm embrace, but surrounded by a terrible scene. He was just reincarnated, yet he finds himself facing death once again. To add to his confusion he finds himself in a world he thought was only fiction in his last life with a few appendages he didn’t have in his last life. He has multiple Faunus traits? How is that even possible? The Faunus are like Humans except they have a single animal trait, so what does this make him? Is he more animal than human? Will he be able to survive the cruel world of RWBY? Will he overcome the discrimination of the Faunus? Why are the odds not in his favor? Wasn’t he reincarnated? —————— The story will follow cannon for the most part. But things will diverge and be different at certain points and in various ways. —————— I don’t own RWBY, anything referenced, or the pictures used. This will be a Harem, if the tag didn’t give it away, so fair warning. But I will say that I try to break the molding of most harem fanfics. But how well I am able to do that I’m not sure.

Chapter 1 - Ch. 1 Terrible Ending and Beggining

"Awooooooooo!!!" A fierce howl echoes through the not so empty forest.

Under the canopy of the forest a 19 year old man is sitting beside a fire. A small tent not too far off to the side. Upon hearing the howl of a wolf off in the distance he shrugs his worry away. He didn't know that there were wolves in this forest, but the odds of a wolf approaching him are slim to none. Aren't wolves afraid of fire and humans?

This was his first time camping alone, however, he's used to camping with his family. His father used to drag them out at least once a month during the summer, and sometimes more depending on his mood. The dad's accomplice was his wife, the two of them loved to torture their two kids with some quality family time. The kid that suffered the worse was their youngest. She always hated the outdoors, yet she wasn't the one with the allergies.

"Achooo!" *Sniffle* "Damn allergies" The man rubs the back of his hand under his nose. Since as early as he can remember he has had moderate allergies. The allergies have caused a ton of problems for him, but he's found ways to deal with them. Luckily they aren't anything life threatening, only inconvenient and a mild hinderance.

Dog hair being the worse allergy by a long shot, thankfully he was more of a cat person anyway.

A cool breeze moves the canopy above the man and the shrubbery around his families secret camping spot. It's been a while since he has been here, mainly because he spent a year at college and has finally come back home for summer break.

There was an enormous argument as soon as he got back home with his entire family involved. As he stares into the flames in front of him he doesn't even remember what it was about. All he knows is that he was able to unpack his things in his old room, sit down for dinner, and then leave halfway through with his camping gear in hand.

His younger sister really ripped into him this time. As far as he remembers it started between him and his father. They didn't have the best relationship, but he figured they were at an average familial level. His mom then joined in on his dad's side. And his sister just joined in on her own side, but it was still against him.

Most of the time he can keep a level head and wouldn't let this bother him. Unfortunately, he had just went through an immensely stressful first year of college with him barely making it through finals week. And after getting home, he just wanted to relax. So with his emotions high, and him not wanting to do any more damage to his family, he left to go camping for the night.

——————

*Crack! - Fwoooosh!*

He tosses some more wood and twigs into the fire to keep it going. As the new material begins to burn more of the surroundings get basked in light. A small sense of security washes over him as his surroundings become more visible. It's been years since he's been afraid of the dark, but now it's a fear of the unknown in the darkness.

Actually… maybe that was the problem way back then as well. But he isn't too afraid of it now, just more cautious than anything.

The trees and grass surrounding him cause some old memories of the good times he's had here. How his dad took him fishing. His mom showed him how to roast marshmallows over the fire. And of his sister and himself running around wasting their endless supply of energy.

He was only a year older than his sister, but that's something she has grown to resent him for. They started out as close as can be, but when she got to high school… things changed. She started to grow more distant and more resentful. But not everything was bad, the bad times just became more and more frequent.

"Awoooooooo~!!!"

A howl can be heard significantly closer to him this time. He looks around and gets this feeling that someone, or something, is watching every slight movement he makes. He looks around but can only see the darkness of the forest beyond the light of the fire. It doesn't help that the wind causes the branches to sway, the leaves to clash together, and some other not so calming and relaxing sounds.

"Pffffffeeeewww" A long sigh escapes his mouth as he calms his nerves. He delved too deep into the good ol' times and got spooked when he came back to his senses.

Looking up through a small opening in the canopy above him he sees the giant full moon sitting brightly in the dark night sky. It's a shame that it doesn't illuminate his surroundings, but it makes seeing it that much better.

*Swoosh~*

"Uh-uh- ACHOO!!" He sneezes hard into his elbow. He opens his watery eyes and looks down at his elbow. There isn't any snot, that might have been preferable to what is actually there. On his elbow are a few dark hairs.

A nauseous feeling slowly makes its way from his stomach to his brain. He lowers his arm and looks into the darkness hesitantly. He likes a good horror movie, but none of the horror movies he had ever seen have given him such a distraught feeling like the one he has right now.

A shiver goes down his spine which causes goosebumps throughout this body. The cool breeze that passes through the forest every now and then doesn't help either.

"Grrrrrrrr…"

A low growl echoes through the very small clearing and sounds like the single growl is coming from every direction around the man.

He immediately jumps to his feet and frantically looks around him, yet all he can see is the same scenery that's been there since he arrived.

*Snap!*

The breaking of a twig draws his attention and he quickly looks in the direction the sound is coming from as the growl dies down.

After a brief moment filled with suspense, the darkness moves forward as the fire crackles.

His eyes widen when the darkness gains two red spheres and proceeds to move forward into the firelight. The false sense of security quickly dissipating from his mind as the darkness keeps moving forward at a slow and smooth pace as it further takes shape.

The darkness shapes into a large wolf, the red eyes of which never leave him as it moves towards him.

Even with this large wolf staring at him, he still feels like he's being watched from somewhere else, but he doesn't dare take his eyes off of the creature before him as it opens its maw and it's teeth cause his mind to blank briefly.

The wolf seemingly at random, begins to circle him at the same smooth and slow pace, keeping away from the fire and his tent.

The man doesn't dare show his back to this beast. He knows there isn't a point in trying to run away, outrunning this creature is hopeless. And showing his back would cause it to attack, if it's not afraid of showing itself then his chance of survival is already plummeting.

As he tries to think of various ways to survive, he hears more growls approach his position and at least five other wolves enter the dimly lit clearing. Each as big as the original.

Before he can even try one of his plans for survival the hulking figure of an even larger wolf emerges from the darkness between the group of six large wolves.

With three wolves on either side of the hulking wolf, it approaches the man.

If he didn't know any better he would have thought this thing was a dire wolf, but those things are extinct. And even if it was only endangered, why would it appear here? Why now?

Sweat drops down his face as he shakily breathes.

The bigger wolf matches the others with its fur that is as black as the night sky without stars but it's deep blood red eyes that conveys an unmatchable intelligence to not just the other wolves but even that of humans.

The hulking wolf narrows its eyes at him and after a second his brain short circuits.

There is the sound of shuffling grass and shrubbery. He blinked and they were already on him.

He was tackled to the ground and landed heavily as he was taken down by one of these big ferocious creatures. As he fell he tried to roll and get back up. But as soon as he moved he felt something burn on his left shoulder. When he looked at it he saw a wolf biting down on him. He tries to get up to run away or do something but the wolf bites down harder.

Immediately thereafter, he feels the other wolves find their own chunk of his flesh to bite down on.

He feels their teeth dig deeply into his flesh down to the bone. They've mostly gone after his limbs to immobilize him. Unfortunately, none of them went for his throat or head. Now he has to go through an agonizing amount of pain as they hungrily devour his flesh.

Obviously he isn't silent throughout this experience. His screams of death echo through the dark and relatively quiet forest, yet nothing and nobody comes to his rescue.

He could precisely see what was going on, the light from the fire behind him. But he can feel the wolves claws and teeth shred his flesh, and when they got to his organs he was already barely conscious.

*Drip* *Drip* *Drip*

He feels something warm and wet drop down onto his cheek, and it wasn't his tears since those were cold.

His shouting has already stopped, he felt so weak already and it's barely been a minute. But with the little strength he had left he moved his head to look up.

The scene was beautiful. The giant black wolf stands above him. It's jet black fur slightly moving as it breathes and the wind brushes past it. The canopy of the trees move to and fro along with the wind to give brief glimpses at the clear starry night sky. And the magnificent moon sitting in the opening of the canopy as it basks the wolf above him in light and giving the wolf's red eyes a shiny gleam.

This being the last thing he sees before the alpha ends his suffering.

——————

"You who have suffered, and have not experienced truly living, shall be given another chance. Do not be idle in this next life. This is your one and only chance to live again, do not make me regret this action of kindness for you"

——————

When the man opens his eyes he is flooded with his various senses that are on overdrive.

With his heart pounding in his ears and throat he frantically looks around.

"Save your energy Alabast, when I tell you… run as fast as you can. Don't worry about me, mama will be right behind you" The eloquent, strained, and exhausted voice of a woman whispers into his ears.

After a brief moment he realizes he is in the tight and warm embrace of a giant woman. He feels so safe and secure, like nothing is wrong in the world so long as he stays with this woman.

He feels the woman's arms wrapped around his body as she covers his ears and head while running away from something. His arms already wrapped around her, as far as the can reach atleast. His small hands clutch onto the fine fabric wrapped around her body. The woman's pearl white hair hangs down and almost fully covers his vision when he opens his eyes.

He looks up at the woman's face but gets his head brought closer to her chest. Not being able to resist her, he looks to the side and sees various tall buildings off in the distance. All around him he sees… people with animal traits running from people without animal traits that are going on their tails, for some people that's literal.

"Please… tell me you understand, Alabast. What are you gonna do when mom lets you go?" The woman continues running across a hilly field.

"Mom?" He looks up and sees two ocean blue eyes looking down at him with so many emotions he gets lost in them.

She smiles, trying to hide her exhaustion and worry. Shifting her hold on her only child, she holds him with one arm and holds his face with her other hand. "Your father and I love you so much Alabast. When I tell you to, I need you to run as fast as you can. I'll be right behind you"

There is so much to take in that he doesn't know what to do.

Now that his ears are uncovered he can hear so much. There are shouts of pain and anguish. The labored breathing from everyone around as they run for their lives or chasing those running.

"Why?!" "You Faunus scum" "What did we do?!" "This was a peaceful protest!" "Mommy!" "Ahhhh!" "We just want equality!" "We didn't ask to be born like this!" "Gods help us!" "We don't have aura to protect us!" "Stop!" "Julia!" "Let me go!" "Now it's time for some fun~" "Somebody help me!"

The man, now in a child's body called Alabast, looks around and sees a horrific scene. Some of the people with animal traits have been caught and were being beaten. It was clear that the ones without animal traits were being brutal and wanting the others to suffer since their weapons stayed sheathed or on their backs.

The woman moves his face to look up at hers that has tears running down her cheeks. "Be safe and live a long life. Your father and I love you more than the entire world. Even though you are only six… you have to be strong for me. The Noirs don't go down so easily, so here's your chance to be strong like daddy. Know that mommy will always be with you. I'll be right behind you, just keep running and don't look back. Now go"

Alabast feels the warm embrace of the woman disappear as he gets thrown through the air. His mind still trying to put the pieces of this puzzle together. Even though he just met this woman, he feels so attached to her. He doesn't even know her name…

"Mom!" He stretches his small hands out towards her as he continues through the air. His white hair fly around his head as he begins to fall. He looks at his mom and notices a pair of wolf ears on the top of her head.

——————

The woman clenches her jaw and turns around as the tears she was fighting back begin to fall. She holds her hands out when suddenly a giant wall begins to form, seemingly made of light.

"Ngh!" She flinches in pain and grabs her left side with her right hand while she keeps her left hand up. When she looks down at her right hand she notices it's covered in blood.

——————

As Alabast gets closer to the ground he gets this weird feeling along his spine. He was about to hit the ground hard and end up rolling for quite some distance, he somehow gets his feet under himself and manages to stay standing.

Looking behind himself there is a tail connected to him and it would be just as white as his hair if it wasn't for something red coating it.

There isn't any thought before he takes off running… back towards his mom. All the other people with animal traits use this chance to run away to get even a step closer to safety. But he can't just leave like this. He has so many questions to ask this woman, but the only thing in his mind is that he needs to protect her.

——————

The woman stumbles forward and placed her right hand on the wall of light that begins to crack. She collapses down to her knees as she feels her body get harder to move. Her semblance and aura were always different. While her aura could heal her, it never protected her like it does everyone else. And nobody could figure out why.

She moves to the side and sits down with her back now to the wall. She opens her eyes, wanting to get one last look at her son. He always did what she asked him to do. She excuses his weird behavior due to the fact of this traumatic event. But when she sees Alabast running to her she has a mix of emotions. She's happy because her son loves her so much, but she's sad because her son might get hurt or worse.

She gets up on her knees and holds her arms open to hug her son when:

*Krrr-Ksshhhh!*

The wall of light behind her shatters to pieces after having so many people try and break it down. It didn't help that she made the wall bigger than anything she had ever been able to before.

——————

Alabast is running towards his mom when he watches as the wall of light behind her shatters and falls around her. His small legs cause the short distance to seem like miles.

Reaching his right hand out his eyes widen as he sees a group of people without animal features pin his mom down to the ground.

"Noooo!" He shouts and doubles his efforts of running through the crowd of people with animal traits.

*Wham!*

Alabast gets hit on the side of his head from somebody frantically trying to get away from their oppressors.

His mind hazy, Alabast tries to pick himself up to not get trampled. He shakily props himself up on his hands and knees and tearfully looks at his mom as she gets kicked and beaten. Her white hair becoming mixed with brown and red. Her skin turning an ugly shade of black and blue in the spots she is beaten.

Suddenly he feels himself get picked up and carried away from his mother. His attempts at trying to get free are in vain as the hold on him is rough and very tight.

"Stop fighting kid, I'm tryin to help you here" The guy carrying Alabast says.

Even with that said, Alabast continues to try and get free. He continues to struggle even after no longer being able to see his mom.

"Kid! Stop struggl-"

*Schlllllk!!!*

"Wha-?" Alabast finally stops struggling but falls to the ground. When he lands on his ass he looks up at the person holding him and sees a sword protruding through his chest as blood leaks from the man's mouth.

"You weren't even worth dirtying my blade you dirty Faunus" The person holding the sword kicks the 'dirty Faunus' off his blade and sets his eyes on Alabast. "But you. You should be worth the effort"

Alabast doesn't even try to understand what fetish or mental deficiency the guy had before he takes off in a random direction. He thinks he's going back towards his mother but he just tries to get away from the crazy guy first.

As he runs he notices more and more chaos. The people without animal traits are ruthless and gang up on the people with animal traits even if they don't need to. He runs between fights and fleeing people. His sweat beginning to cover his body as he begins to panic.

Was he really about to die again?

After some frantic and random running he comes upon a scene that twists his heart. A frail old man with a lizard tail takes a blow from a baton. It would have been like any other fight that Alabast has witnessed, but the old man took the blow to protect a small girl.

Alabast watches as the old man gets hit on his head after raising his arms up to defend himself. He runs towards the attacker, but before he get there the guy hits the old man three more times with a sadistic smile plastered on his face.

——————

"How many times do I have to hit you old man?! Just hand the girl over and I'll only see if your tail grows back once!" The sadistic guy shout while bringing the baton over his head to hit the old man again.

This guy originally wanted to mess with the girl, but when he saw this old lizard he got some different ideas for fun. He really was curious if the lizard tail would grow back. If it did grow back, how many times would it grow back?

"Hahaha- huh? Ghk-!!" The man's laughter is cut off when he feels something jump on his back and the side of his neck get torn off.

"Kghh- haaak!" He gurgles as he drops the baton and brings his right hand to the gushing wound on his neck. His left hand reaches for whatever is on his back but he collapses to the ground, not even aware of the Faunus child that just ended his life.

——————

Alabast falls with the man whose back he was on.

"Pfff- plah!" He stands up from the dead body and spits out the chunk of neck that was in his mouth.

Quickly wiping his mouth with the back of his right arm he frantically looks around to see if any other person was going to attack him or these two.

The blood on his mouth only gets moved around and doesn't fully get wiped off. But he doesn't care, the metallic taste of the blood in his mouth isn't even a concern to him as he catches his breath.

"Waaaaaahhhhh~!"

Alabast immediately turns towards the direction of the crying girl behind the old man who has collapsed beside her. He notices the old man is bleeding from beneath his white hair and red cloak as the blood covers the right side of his face.

"Shhhh, quiet child" The old man puts his hand on the girl's head weakly.

Not knowing what to do, Alabast makes his way next to the girl who is a little smaller than he is but keeps his head on a swivel to make sure they don't get attacked or to find his mom.

His heart is pounding heavily in his chest, he just killed someone but he doesn't pause to think of that. The man he killed deserved it so he won't bother fretting about that.

"Boy…" The old man weakly looks at Alabast and wipes some of the blood away from the child's face. "… take Ms. Blake and get to safety…"

Alabast turned to the old man and feels the frail hand wipe his mouth with the red cloak. He comes back to his senses a little and looks at the small girl and then back at the old man. "Where is safe?"

But it was too late. The man had already passed away with his hand falling off the girl's head.

"Je… J-Jerald…?" The girl squeaks out as the tears begin to fall again. "Waaaahhhhhh!"

Alabast looks at the girl's head and notices two cat ears dropping down. "Blake?"

Before he can register this encounter the girl grabs his white and red shirt as she drags him down and cries into his chest. He's surprised by her strength, and his own. He's not sure what 6 year old can easily rip a neck apart.

Does he even know how to help her? He can barely help himself, heck he barely even knows what's going on.

Alabast hesitantly patted the girls short black hair. "Uhh… Blake… we need to go…"

He has no idea what he's doing.

"Bu-but J… Waaaaaa!" Blake cries.

As Alabast was about to say something he sees a man in armor walking through the chaos with some other people behind him that are wearing similar shiny armor. The man is holding a pair of scissors that he continues to open and close, even as he kicks a few people along his path.

"Shhhh!" He crouches down and covers Blake's mouth with his hand. "If you're loud we will both die, now follow me"

Alabast doesn't fully stand up but stays low as he runs away while dragging Blake. He makes sure not to cover her nose so she can still breathe.

He chose the opposite direction of the man with scissors. But no matter how far he goes or where he looks he only sees chaos and destruction.

——————

Blake just wants her mommy and daddy. She was finally able to convince them both to let her go to the protests and this is what happens? Sure it's not her first, but it's the first time something like this has happened. They're usually actually peaceful, maybe they get some fruit or pebbles thrown at them but nothing like what's happening.

Her friend and caretaker Jerald was just hit and she left him behind. And now she's being dragged by this boy with wolf ears. If she wasn't so out of it she would admire his beautiful white hair and she would also notice that this boy has multiple Faunus traits.

Blake doesn't understand why Humans and Faunus can't get along. They both look the same with the only difference being the Faunus having an animal trait that makes a majority of them look different than humans. Like her cat ears.

She doesn't like having her mouth covered but she understands that she's in danger and doesn't resist much. Her father is a liar, he isn't here to protect her.

——————

Alabast is making his way through the field when he feels a sharp pain that he hasn't felt before. He looks back and his eyes widen when he sees a shiny metal gauntlet wrapped around his tail.

"Gotcha!" The man shout with the pair of scissors on the man's hip. He reaches out towards Blake and grabs her hair and yanks both kids towards him causing them both to shout in pain while Blake cries.

Blake falls to the ground and curls into a ball as the man puts his foot on her.

The man smiles as he takes the scissors in his free hand and brings them down near Blake's head. "You brats thought you could get away after killing one of us? That's a no-no. Let me teach you what happens to naught Faunus brats like yourselves"

Alabast sees the man open the scissors and put them next to Blake's left cat ear. He lunges towards the man's neck to try and bite him, however, his tail being held doesn't allow this. But he brings his right hand down on the man's already scarred face.

"Gaaaaah!" The guy yelps in pain as he winces and stumbles backwards.

Alabast is dragged backwards a little but he's still able to get Blake to her feet and push her away. "Run!"

Blake stumbles and falls after a few steps and turns back towards Alabast as she cries.

"Get back here!" The man commands and reaches out to grab the girl.

But Alabast tries to tackle the man's leg to stop him somehow. Unfortunately, the size difference isn't in his favor.

"Wait your turn mutt!" The man shouts and backhands Alabast to the ground, his tail still in the man's clutches.

When the evil man turns back to the girl… she isn't there.

The man takes a deep breath in and slowly lets it out as he turns towards Alabast who has fallen to the ground after the hit.

Alabast felt his entire world get rocked once again. He tries to not scream or groan in pain but can't help his body from flailing due to the pain.

"Lucky you boy, guess you don't have to wait after all" The man grimly states. He puts his foot on the boy's back and makes the boy lay facedown on the grass and dirt. "DT! KT! Get over here and hold this brat down!"

Two people in similar armor walk over and look at Alabast who futilely tries to escape.

"The fuck happened to your face this time Dixon? Did you want more scars?" DT jokes as he walks up to his friend/leader.

"Shut the fuck up before I make you look as ugly as you act" Dixon snaps back.

KT rubs his chin. "You can make him look worse than shit?"

"I'll kick your teeth in so you can suck Dixon's cock easier KT" DT jabs back.

"Both of you shut up and hold him down. Get a good grip because he's a rowdy one and this won't be over fast" Dixon says, wiping the blood off his face from his wound.

KT and DT both grab an arm and a leg to hold the kid down.

Dixon kneels down in front of Alabast and grabs the white hair to force the kid's face up as he holds a mirror up. "Get one last look at yourself before I make you look cool, or before you die. I can go either way at this point"

Alabast glares at the man. But when the hand mirror is moved in front of his face he can see his new body for the first time. He just hopes it's not the last time.

He does have white hair like his mom, but the roots are black. His eyes aren't the comforting blue like his mother's, they're blood red like the wolves that tore him to shreds. And his skin isn't flawless and pale like his mom… it is flawless but it's not pale. He has two wolf ears on the top of his head as well.

"That's enough of that, aye? Let's get your makeover started" Dixon sinisterly says as he puts the hand mirror away and goes behind Alabast.

Dixon places his knee on Alabast's back to stop him from moving too much and grabs the left wolf ear.

A sickening feeling of dread once again fills Alabast as he feels the cold metal begin to close around the tip of his ears.

He thought having his tail pulled was the closest painful feeling to being eaten alive second to being kicked in the balls. But this Tues with being eaten alive, but getting cut up while conscious is kinda the same thing as being eaten alive.

*snip~*

Dixon slowly cut the tip of Alabast's ear cleanly off and reveled in Alabast's agony along with DT and KT. The screams only making Dixon want to cut more.

"That was only one centimeter, you've got a lot more ear to go. Don't tucker yourself out too early" Dixon chides.

*snip~* *snip~* *snip~* *snip~*

"He finally go unconscious?" Dixon notices the squirming stop under his knee and hold of the boy. "Guess that's why we have these right?"

From his pocket, Dixon brings out a small tube and opens it under Alabast's nose.

A few seconds later and Alabast jolts awake from the smelling salts.

"There you are~" The sadistic guy opens and closes his scissors. "You won't be able to get off that easy…"

Lowering the scissors back down to the ear he pauses. "You know what? Let's change it up a bit, flip him over"

Alabast feels the weight get off his back and he's finally able to get a full breath of air but it's immediately exhaled as he screams from the pain again.

KT and DT roll Alabast over and lay him on his back. They don't get much enjoyment from this, but it is amusing to them.

Dixon brings the open scissors to Alabast's face. "You know, I used to have a pretty face too. But pricks like you just had to go and do things like this to me" He gestures at the claw mark on his face that Alabast gave him. "Don't worry, I'll make yours look cool"

The scissors dug into Alabast's skin and carved deep.

It started under his right eye and went down until the middle of his cheek.

Alabast's limbs were fully restrained By KT and DT. And Dixon had his knee on Alabast's chest and held his head in position to accurately make cuts.

Continuing on, Dixon moved to Alabast's left eye. He shrugs and proceeds to just make a mess of the flesh around the eye. From the cheekbone up to Alabast's hairline and from the bridge of his nose to his temple.

DT and KT could barely even watch this one, but after a little bit they got used to it. After all, why would they feel bad for a Faunus?

With the focal point of his masterpiece mostly done Dixon makes some minor scars on the chin and forehead.

From there Dixon cut the shirt off Alabast so he could move to the torso and arms. He didn't take the pants off, just rolled them up. He's not a freak that is into little Faunus boys.

Whenever Alabast would pass out they would pause and wake him up. After some time a group of sadistic bastards grouped around to watch.

Dixon put on the show and made sure to miss the important things like major arteries and other things that would end their fun prematurely.

So Alabast went through an excruciating cycle of being tortured, passing out, waking up to a horrible smell and cold water, to seeing the dark and cloudy sky that looks to want to cry for the tragedy done to the Faunus below it, and repeat as his vocal cords shred themselves without any assistance.

Dixon takes the scissor from the fresh wound on Alabast's shin and admired his work. "I'll be damned, remind me later about that 100 lien I owe you DT"

"Fuckin told you guys the kid's hair was going black" DT frustratedly shouts. They didn't believe him when he said the kids hair was turning black.

Dixon rolls his eyes. "And this is why we don't agree with you DT, you get proven right once and you make a big deal of it"

Looking the kid up and down Dixon nods. "Good job so far kid, you'll look great. Unfortunately for you though, we're only half way done. Flip him over boys"

Alabast has no energy to resist as he gets flipped over. They don't even cover his wounds before flipping him over on the dirt and grass.

Now with another blank canvas, Dixon gets to work. He doesn't have a method or pattern so he just carves away. He doesn't carve in letters or anything, that's a little advanced so he'd rather just have fun without fretting about getting the letters exact.

All while this is happening, the evil men watching made bets of how much the kid can take before he kicks the bucket or passes out again. Lots of Lien was passed around.

DT and KT barely even held onto Alabast after a certain point. They mostly just moved the limbs to allow Dixon better access to carve.

Time for Alabast went out the window. It felt like an eternity had passed, yet only a second had passed at the same time.

No matter what Alabast did he just couldn't get the pain to stop. Not even death would come for him fast enough for a second time.

He preferred the wolves honestly, because at least they did what they did for survival. The Humans… they're just doing this for sick and twisted fun. The argument could be made that the wolves didn't know what they did to him, while the Humans are deliberately making him suffer.

——————

Eventually, some of the men around Alabast get shot, but no blood left their body and only waves of energy roll off of them.

A big muscular man with yellow eyes and slicked back black hair and a short beard tackled Dixon, DT, and KT off of Alabast.

Alabast could have sworn he saw claws on the mans nails as well. He then heard metal clunking together, signifying his torturers were running away.

"Hold your fire! Tend to the wounded and help those you can!" The man shouts to the people he brought with him.

Alabast's hearing began to distort as his right eye started to close. Just before his eye could fully close he saw the blurry figure of the man who saved him stand over him. The man's eyes reminded him of Blake and he hopes she was able to get to safety. He's already come to terms with the passing of his mother and his own fate by this point.
