That night, Katherine, Fidel's mother spend a damn good time with Kate. Eva was surprised to see Kate and she thus made all efforts to avoid her. When the workers went in their quarters to rest, Eva and Bella sat in Eva's room and discussed a lot of things, mainly about Lian, then then retired to bed.
Next morning:
Eva woke up early to keep up with the other maids. Bella showed her around the house and at a far distance, she showed her where Lian was locked. The room was guarded. It was grave silent.
Eva walked away as Bella walked into the kitchen. She was going to clean the living room when she heard voices whispering. Curious, she stopped.
"Will you help me, I know I can't be allowed in the kitchen, but I want you to put this into his food after the food is tested. Don't let anyone see it." Kate said.
"Madam, what if he feels it?" The maid asked.

"Do you know her?" Maria, a maid who was in the lead of harassing Eva yesterday. She was short and her hair was scarlet.
Not knowing what to do, Eva gave a meaningful smile, "am sorry Kate." She said sweetly before leaving.
"Why is she here?" Kate asked looking at the disappearing figure of Eva.
"Do you know her? She's the new maid hired yesterday. She's still naive." Maria said.
"No... There is a problem." Kate quickly ran after Eva who walked directly into her room. When Kate stormed in, she looked less surprised.
"Kate? Is there something?" Eva asked innocently.
"What are you doing here?" Kate asked.
"Am here to see Lian." Eva said.
"I'll tell Fidel your true identity." Kate said. Eva smiled calmly.
"Don't forget I heard everything." She said. Kate's face paled and her mouth went dry. She roughly ran her hand in her hair and sighed heavily. "Kate, I know your motive, so if you don't mind, we can make a deal." Eva smiled, sitting on her spring bed.
"Don't even think about it Eva, you're just a maid and one mistake can make you loose your job remember?" Kate said.
"This isn't my permanent job, and I loose nothing if I loose the job. You know I work somewhere else right? I already told you, the reason as to why am here is to meet my friend. Seriously, you know there was no way I could enter this castle if I don't disgust myself as a helpless person who badly needs a job. For your information, this is my time off at Dawn hotel." Eva smiled as she talked. Kate really wanted to strangle her just now.
"So..." Kate stammered,
"Simple, I can guess what you really want to put in Fidel's food. If not love portion, the sex enhancement pills. So tell me, if either of our truth is brought to the surface, who will be on the safer side and who will be on a far worse side?" Eva asked.
"What's the deal about?" Kate asked.
"You keep my identity a secret, I keep your motive a secret, but on one condition," Eva played with her finger and looked up at her, "you don't use that kind of a dirty trick to get Fidel."
"Why are you so much concerned? Do you have a crush on him?" Kate asked angrily, "why does my plan concern you that much?"
"Don't get me wrong... Right now, even if the world doesn't know that Lian is married to Fidel, at least you and I know that she was forced to and has no other way out. That simply means, as we are talking now, Lian is Fidel's wife. So, if you have to do something creepy, then on someone else, not my friend's husband. "You..." Kate looked angry. "I'll kill you."
"Leave my room. This is the servants quarter, you're a guest remember."
Angrily, Kate stormed out. "Bitch... Fuck you!"
