Eastern Europe,
Since Denmark lost its dominions to Sweden and Russia, which in turn engaged them in a series of wars over lands and ports in the Baltic. Although Sweden triumphed initially, Russia later wins out, gaining territory which extended from Finland to Lithuania.
The 17th century marks a turning point for Europe as continent. Russia's rapidly increasing dominance poses a great threat to Europe. But the entire Russian régime was very cautious over their standing on the Eastern European region and were stopped on their tracks by only one man.
Klyn Morticia,
The Vampire Lord whose authority spread across the whole Europe. He was a warLord who ruled a continent. Under his governance no one was allowed to deny his orders, and the Russians were no exception.
19:23, Moscow, 1672
A person can be seen running through the streets of Moscow, and approaching the large castle situated at the center of the city, wearing nothing but black robes. Upon approaching the castle, a big watcher tower can be seen on the right hand side, Atop which two shadowy figures lurked.
"Stop, state your intent for approaching the Castle" one of the shadowy figure screamed toward the man.
"I have an important message for Lord Klyn, regarding Russians"
After the shadowy figures had a quick chat within themselves, they allowed the man to go into the castle.
The main entrance of the castle was huge and the pathway to the entrance was also long. Stone statues of gargoyles stood like guards at the main gate. As the man approached to knock on the gate, the massive wooden gate opened up by itself. The first thing that the man noticed is the stench of blood, which came out like a gust of wind as the main gate opened.
Upon entering the castle, the expansive and luxurious dining area is the most prominent sight the man had laid his eyes on. Two dining tables loaded with expensive silverware and crockery platters of flesh, "human probably" thought the man while disregarding the reek of rotting meat and blood. The bones flanked the long decorative rug that lined the center of the hall.
At the back of the room was the main table where the Lord's throne is situated.
The man moves towards the left side of the hall to a room. Looking at his movements and navigation skills one could clearly see that he was familiar with insides of the castle and a regular there as well. Upon opening the gate he saw a man, a very handsome and elegant man. He was tall and had silky blond hair to a shoulder-length, with bright blue eyes and a cheerful smile.
"Veran, I have a important message for the Lord" said the man in black robes.
"Nice to meet you too Cassius, well you see, the Lord is not present here at the moment he had a very important matter to deal with, so whatever message you have, you can give it to me" said Veran while putting down a flask of strange liquid on the table and he looked at Cassius with a faint smile on his face.
"Where he is right now?" asked Cassius.
"He's with louis XIV, discussing some important matter regarding the country"
"We have to contact the Lord quickly as his life might be in grave danger"
"Do you have any idea of what you're saying. Our Lord has lived for more than a millennia, and There's not a single thing in this world that could pose a threat to him"
"They've found the Stake in Romania"
Just upon hearing these words, Veran's facial expression suddenly changed. His eyes widened and became blood red, his gentlemanly face got filled with fear, like a huge adversity had befallen him.
A vampire was nothing like a mortal human. They had immense strength, fast reflexes, great speed and the most powerful of all, Instant regeneration, the next stage in human evolution they were called by some, yet apart from their appearance they were vile creatures. A skilled vampire could easily heal any type of wounds or damages on it's body, if they got enough amount of human blood. But for a vampire lord like Klyn Morticia, damages like wounds and internal bleeding were equivalent to nothing. He could instantly heal any type of damages on his body without any need of human blood it was done with such ease as breathing on a clear day.
But the stake they found in Romania is not just a simple stake. It was a stake dyed in Dracula's blood, which could simply kill any type of vampire, if inserted directly into their heart.
"B-but how? Those mortal humans can't even think about to enter Transylvania, because of Dracula's curse. Only powerful vampire could even think to resist the effects of curse much less erase it" Varen Screamed towards Cassius.
Cassius let out a sweat, cause he knew the words he was about utter would quite frankly decide his fate of continued life or its end.
"As you might be aware. I have some ghouls inside the Russian federation that provide me with high level intel…. But I don't know for sure if it's true or not but from what I've heard, the one who entered Transylvania and retrieved the stake is no other than Lady Serena, Lord's daughter"
The moment these words enter Veran's ear he grabs Cassius by his neck, literally hanging him above ground with just his one hand. The grip of his hand grew so strong that one could see veins popping out of Cassius neck.
"How dare you say these blasphemous things about Lady Serena" Veran fumed with rage.
"Lady Serena is the second strongest vampire in the Morticia family, and one who can resist the effect of Dracula's Curse. No other than the Lord and Lady Serena can even think about entering Transylvania much less retrieving the stake" said Cassius even after struggling to speak as his neck changed to deep blue.
What Cassius said was not believable but made too much sense to ignore it. If Veran decided to ignore this as a false alarm than the Lord's life could be in danger and if he decided to believe it, than that means he's suspecting Lady Serena.
Veran released Cassius after finally deciding what he had to do.
"For me Lord's life comes above everything. I will save him, even if I have make an enemy out of the whole Morticia family" said Veran with his bloodshot red eyes, which were shining strong with determination.
