The Boss monster was stood behind the Half Golems, and it was a Wood type Golem. Only one thought was going through Lugis' mind, 'This is definitely going to be harder than I had thought it would be.'
Before he could deal with the Boss monster, Lugis knew that he would have to defeat all three Half Golems. Instead of choosing to use his Fire Golem powers, Lugis used his Shadow Golem powers and created a long pure black blade in his right hand.
He also used his shadow manipulation powers to make the Half Golem's shadows wrap around their ankles and restrict their movement.
Lugis proceeded to run forward at the Half Golem on the far left, and in one quick slash, he cut right through the middle of the Golem and destroyed its core with ease. He then felt that one of his shadow binds had been broken, and the Half Golem in the middle started to run towards Lugis.
He opted to use a different strategy for this Half Golem as he wanted to defeat it from afar. He used his Ice Golem powers to freeze the ground beneath his enemy, this caused it to slip backwards. In the time that it was falling, Lugis created a large ice spike that protruded from the ground which the Half Golem fell onto. It pierced directly through it, and destroyed the core with ease.
As the final Half Golem was still immobilised, Lugis chose to experiment more with his shadow manipulation. Using his own shadow, he created a large wolf like creature that was entirely black. This was an ability of the Shadow Golems, they could create temporary life out of their own shadows. The shadow creatures that they made could be controlled only by their creator, and that is precisely what Lugis did.
He ordered the Shadow Wolf to attack the Half Golem's core, which it immediately attempted to do. It jumped forward at the Half Golem in an attempt to attack it.
However, the Shadow Wolf was swung at by the large arm of the Half Golem. This did not cause the Shadow Wolf to falter though, as what the Half Golem did not understand or know was that Shadow creatures could only be affected by magic attacks.
This meant the Shadow Wolf was able to pass right through the Half Golem's attack and bite its core so hard that it shattered.
As that was the third Half Golem, the only enemy left was the Boss Golem. Despite being a higher rank than the previous enemies, Lugis thought that it would definitely be much easier than he had thought it would be as his powers seemed much stronger than he had anticipated.
The Wood Golem, noticing that it could be in danger, immediately shot out multiple green balls towards Lugis. In response to this, he created a large shield made of crystals in front of him, this caused the magic attacks to bounce straight back at the Wood Golem.
Although all of the attacks were returned, only one of them hit the original sender. This did not cause much damage though, as the attack was of the same element as the Wood Golem. This meant it continued sending the same attacks at the shield in an attempt to destroy it and kill Lugis.
While Lugis was protecting himself with the Crystal Shield, he started to put the only plan that made any sense into action. Just as it had the first time, hot energy started to flow through Lugis' body and into his left arm.
The flames yet again became hotter and larger, and his arm cannon started to be filled with a ball of fire. It started off small, yet over the course of half a minute, it became much larger and reached its maximum size and heat.
As fire is the opposite of wood, it meant that his attack would be especially effective against the Wood Golem. Lugis walked out from the side of his Crystal Shield, looked directly into the eyes of the Wood Golem, who was preparing another attack, and shot the large ball of fire straight at his enemy.
This blew the Wood Golem back from the force of the explosion, as well as setting it ablaze in the process. A ghastly shrieking noise was let out by the Wood Golem as it felt its body start to be burnt to a crisp.
Not only was the Wood Golem burning, it could also feel its core starting to crack from all of the damage it was taking and the residual force of the explosion.
By the time that the Wood Golem had even marginally started to recover, another fireball was flying at it. This second fireball finally destroyed the core of the Boss Wood Golem, and Lugis immediately found himself outside of the gate that he had entered.
However, it was now night time and nobody could be seen walking nearby. This was helpful for Lugis, as he did not want anyone to see him in his current form without some form of clothing covering him.
Luckily for Lugis, there was a large bin near the gate he had entered. He needed some clothes that could cover his arms and legs temporarily until he could buy some that would fit him properly now.
After around five minutes of rummaging around in the bin, Lugis found some clothes that fit him despite being covered in dirt and smelling horrible.
This was alright for the time being though, as he knew that he could get clothes as soon as he found a place to buy some. However, before he would buy clothes, there was something he needed to do first. He assumed that his level would have increased after clearing the gate, and that would mean more free points for him to use.
