Chapter 14 - Killing Kyrill, slaying the Blaze Immortals (I)
The contracted killers called over by William's dad, Benedict Sterling, had abruptly come to a stop on the wide road that they plied with their high-powered carriages after hearing the numerous, deafening boom sounds that rang out from far away, invoking the spine-chilling and heart-twisting thought in them that a number of really powerful bombs were being detonated one after the other by enemy troops that had invaded the city to cause off-the-scale destruction at the part of the city that they targeted.
Once they were able to think this as they couldn't come up with any other logical explanation to the thundering, ear-splintering sounds that they rampantly heard from afar, immense horror instantly surfaced in their individual hearts and caused them to be wrenched tightly.
Then very quickly, they turned their high-powered carriages around and drove back to William's grand mansion for safety.
...
Immediately Aerracles arrived before Kyrill after shooting towards him like a furious bolt of lightning, he instantly sent out a fist towards his face with the intent of blasting open a fist-sized hole in it.
But Kyrill who could of course predict what Aerracles wanted to do, swiftly sent out one of his widely opened hands to catch Aerracles's fist that was hurtling towards his face like a powerful ballistic projectile.
BANG!!!
A loud bang sound instantly rang out and was immediately accompanied by a visible wave that swept out with immense destructive power, knocking into both Aerracles and Kyrill and shoving them tremendously far away from each other.
But because of the superhuman-level toughness and durability of their bodies, they were able to easily withstand the devastating power of the wave that could effortlessly reduce entire chains of mountains to massive clouds of dusts.
Immediately after regaining their balance in the air from the savage and powerful shoving sweep of the destructive wave that struck into them with immeasurable kinetic force, they shot towards one another again to continue exchanging powerful physical strikes that could level entire cities in an instant.
...
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
Several loud boom sounds rang out as Princess Ethena who was beginning to gain an upper hand against the Immortals currently attacking her with all the power that they could possibly muster, tyrannically blasted them away one after the other using that special and domineering, berserk power that she used to severely injure the Demon House Master, Lord Oblivean back then.
How she was able to suddenly gain the upper hand in the battle against the Blaze Immortals attacking her, was because of her unexpected, soaring confidence in Aerracles who was currently fighting it out with Kyrill.
Therefore, if not for Aerracles showing utmost concern for her which she could perceive, and because of his commendable, vast physical strength and resilience to the earth-splintering attacks condensed from his challenger's Immortal power, she could have been overwhelmed and possibly killed. But because it seemed like Aerracles got her back in this battle that didn't concern him, she was able to focus more on the many adversaries that flanked her on all sides and could continuously unleash as many powerful strikes as possible that will decimate them in an instant.
...
After clashing many times with no one actually gaining an edge over their intense lethal duel, Kyrill asked as he dead-stared at Aerracles with a wrathful expression in his face, "What's in it for you, Angel?"
"And what has your business got to do with that? Or do you have better things to offer me? Of course no. So, shut your filthy trap and come at me, you envious and hateful bastard." Aerracles shot back with intense chillness in his narrowed, coldly-staring eyes.
"Hmm."
"Angel, don't try to start what you can't end. If anything happens to me, the Lord Immortal that I serve will come for you. And there's no running away from him, as his absolute boundless power of fire can entirely envelop this vast mundane world and burn everything to cinders." Kyrill said, threatening Aerracles so that he could turn around and leave.
"I see. Well, I have my Angel Father. He will surely protect me and this world altogether. So, your threat doesn't scare me in any way." Aerracles said with a mocking smirk appearing in his face.
Then he abruptly shot once again like a bolt of lightning towards Kyrill who suddenly developed a dejected look in his face, as he was tremendously struggling to keep up with Aerracles's attacking power, speed and movement speed around him.
Besides, he was running low on energy very quickly, while that of Aerracles seemed to be rising in great amounts every passing second. It was like the more he got excited for their deadly battle, the more his stamina, strength and endurance increased. And this horrified Kyrill when he thought about it.
Once Aerracles arrived before Kyrill in that same second that he bolted towards him, he immediately sent out his fist towards his chest. While Kyrill who was expecting Aerracles to arrive before him, sent out a kick towards Aerracles's abdomen with the hope of inflicting serious internal damage on him. But Aerracles's fist struck his chest first before his kicking leg could impact Aerracles at the abdomen.
BANG!
Like an explosion occurred with a wave of devastating power immediately erupting from the point of impact, Kyrill was knocked flying away like a kite that had its string broken into the far distance. While the power carried by the punch that struck his chest, was so great that Kyrill simply shot across the sky for many hundreds of feet away like he were an arrow furiously fired from a bow.
Immediately Aerracles successfully landed that mountain-shattering punch on Kyrill's chest, he quickly followed after him as he shot away to grasp him and continue unleashing powerful physical strikes at him with the intent of ending him.
"He finally gained the upper hand?" Princess Ethena who was somehow keeping a close watch on the battle taking place between Kyrill and Aerracles as she fought the other Blaze Immortals viciously attacking her, asked with intense surprise in her face.
Then suddenly, a great resolve appeared in her heart, causing the depth of seriousness on her face to increase.
"I have to end this now." She said with soaring determination in her heart. But this was because Aerracles was beginning to gain the upper hand in the battle that he was engaged in, therefore meaning that she could use her most powerful attack to quickly destroy the Blaze Immortals presently attacking her with the aim of killing her.
At first, she couldn't dare to use that type of attack as it could greatly weaken her and leave her open to barrages of attacks that could reduce her into a really damaged, bloodied mess. But because Aerracles had suddenly gained the upper hand against Kyrill, she felt that she could afford to use that sort of attack on the rest without fear of any repercussion.
Then suddenly, her eyes emitted an intense, dark purple glow with a swirling and towering aura of a certain, purple-colored mystical energy engulfing her whole being. And this aura that violently churned around her figure like a really turbulent sea, whilst constantly giving off strong and blinding rays of dark purple brilliance, was so vast in size that it seemed to conceal the entire sky, coloring the sun and dying virtually everything below it in purple.
"W-What sort of d-devilish uncanny power has this girl unleashed to use against us?" A particular Blaze Immortal who instantly became sweaty all over as a result of the blossoming intense fear that had surfaced in his heart, stutteringly asked his colleagues who floated also in fear and horror beside him.
"I believe that after releasing this level of power as an attack against us, she will become severely weakened. So, let's get out of her line of fire first, then we will return to continue attacking her when she becomes greatly fatigued and therefore highly vulnerable." Another who quickly analyzed the present situation, immediately said with confidence in his tone and then took off at the highest flight speed that he could possibly attain.
Immediately that Immortal took off, the rest also shot off in random directions at the greatest speeds that they could individually achieve.
Seeing what they were trying to do, Ethena only broke a vicious smile in her face. Then she went ahead to execute what she had in mind, as she felt that she had built up the dark purple power rapidly oozing in tremendous amount from her slender and delicate figure to a significant degree.
