Chapter 15 - Killing Kyrill, slaying the Blaze Immortals (II)

Then with a simple aim of her hand at the Immortals shooting off like furious projectiles into the far distance to leave her line of fire, the dark-purple aura that oozed out of Ethena's body in large amount and seemed like it could cover the whole sky, suddenly transformed into a gigantic, dark-purple fiery dragon that seemed to possess life, as it head, limbs and tail were moving like that of an actual living dragon.

Raaaghhhh!!

With a deafening frightening roar that was imbued with a certain mysterious power coming from the dragon, the entire sky seemed to shake really hard, while the Blaze Immortals that Princess Ethena had her sight on, abruptly perceived that their bloods which violently churned within their bodies and actually began to flow in reverse, wanted to burst out of them.

Therefore, flooded by traumatizing pains as a result of their bloods flowing in reverse and wanting to forcefully erupt from their whole bodies, the Blaze Immortals who were beginning to bleed severely and rapidly from their ears, eyes, noses, mouths, scalps, fingertips and from the numerous thin and wide cracks that had appeared in their skins, couldn't help but scream out in great agony and misery.

While Princess Ethena who wanted nothing more but the absolute destruction of the Blaze Immortals that she had targeted, said calmly but weakly, "Die."

Then the immensely-sized, dark-purple dragon floating many feet in front of her and surprisingly raging to be left off the leash so as to harvest as many lives as possible, instantly shot off at a great speed towards the agonized Immortals, ramming into each of them at the distant random places that they floated in the sky with an unimaginably powerful force and effortlessly, instantly reducing them into something far tinier than a speck of dust.

The dragon formed from her bizarre mystical power, actually moved with a mystifying, incomparable majestic force that caused the Immortals to be instantly vaporized at the spots that they individually levitated at.

Once the dragon finished obliterating the adversaries that Ethena purposely sent it out against, it immediately dispersed into the atmosphere by turning into countless motes of brilliant purple light that eventually dimmed and rapidly faded away into nothingness.

Now, Ethena was so weak that she couldn't use any of her powers. Even flying became so difficult for her that she just had to quickly lower her physically unstable self to the ground and rest, with the blazing hope that Aerracles will come out victorious in the battle that he was currently engaged in.

...

After getting to where Kyrill was knocked to which was hundreds of feet away from his previous position, Aerracles grabbed him really tight by the neck and shot upwards towards the sky to unleash his final killing blow.

"How did you know where she was? What instrument did you use to pinpoint her exact location? And are there many more like you that will come once you fail in your quest to kill her and take her corpse back to the Lord Immortal that sent you?" Aerracles asked many questions as quickly as possible.

"Angel, you will surely regret your actions. I promise you." Kyrill said with a devilish grin appearing in his face.

"Answer me!" Aerracles shouted at him.

"Haha. Just deliver your killing blow. But be expectant of larger companies of Immortals to arrive soon in this disgusting mundane world and seek out you damned two for utter annihilation." Kyrill said and closed his eyes, surrendering himself for death to Aerracles who only looked on with total indifference at him.

"Well, let me satisfy myself then." Aerracles said and clenched his right hand that was beginning to emit a dazzling golden glow into a fist.

Then he sent that fist straight at the chest of Kyrill with immense penetrating power.

BANG!!

A deafening bang sound immediately rang out as soon as Aerracles's glowing fist made contact with Kyrill's chest, instantly opening up a fist-sized hole in it that both his blood and the many mashed organs within in his body, as a result of the powerful shockwave that traveled in a rippling fashion across his entire body, began to quickly gush out from it and fall to the ground far below.

Immediately delivering that powerful killing blow, Aerracles used his powerful vision to look really far into the distance, precisely towards the tallest mountain located very far away from the city. Then employing the monumental physical strength that he possessed, he straightaway hurled Kyrill's stiff corpse towards the peak of that mountain.

As soon as he did that, he quickly turned around and shot back to where Princess Ethena previously fought the Blaze Immortals.

The moment he arrived there and could see her sitting on the ground in a cross-legged seating position, and without any sort of serious injury to be found anywhere on her body, he heaved a heavy sigh of relief and slowly lowered himself to the ground to stand some feet before her.

"Thank you for your concern. I tremendously appreciate it. And I for one will forever remember you for the kindness you showed me on this particular day." Princess Ethena said calmly with her eyes still closed.

At the moment, she was heavily focused on recovering her nearly-depleted Immortal Power, as she didn't like the idea of being as weak and powerless as a mortal, which was the unpleasant feeling that she was getting right now. But because Aerracles had arrived before her, meaning that he was triumphant as she had earlier guessed him to be, she had no choice than to halve her focus on the restoration of her exhausted Immortal power and thank Aerracles for the serious battle assistance that he selflessly rendered to her.

Aerracles smiled and said, "You are welcome, Princess Ethena."

Then with his face becoming serious in the next instant, he said to her, "I will advise that we stick together for the moment, till you would return to your Immortal World and feel completely safe there."

But not getting any kind of response from Ethena, Aerracles said further with a concerned expression appearing in his face, "Soon or later, more groups of Immortals will arrive from your Immortal world to seek you out and destroy you, once they are able to notice that the first group of Immortals that they sent into this world with the intention of eliminating you, actually failed in their quest. And surely, you can't face the new groups of Immortals that will come into this world for you alone, unless you are planning to court death. So, I will suggest that we stick together and fight them off."

However, Princess Ethena still gave no response to what Aerracles said. While Aerracles who saw that Princess Ethena seemed to not like or be pleased with his suggestion, only shook his head and sighed in a rather frustrated manner.

He then said further with a slight dejected expression appearing in his face, "It seems you don't really need my help for the deadly battle that will be brought to you soon. Anyways, I have to go now to go find the humans that I reside with. But in case you need my help anytime in the future, whether very soon or in weeks to come, you should be able to find me with your Immortal power. I stay in a particular small village located at the outskirt of this city. So, see you soon, Princess Ethena... and in good form when you come searching for me."
