Chapter 24 - The Announcement (I)

Ethena deeply exhaled after Aerracles's explanation and then nodded her head in reasoning.

"Alright. I forgive you." Ethena said while Aerracles nodded his head with a smile of relief appearing in his face.

He then looked at her and said with a solemn expression in his face, "More will be coming soon. And they will do exactly what these guys did once they appear in this world. So, there is something that we need to do to immediately inform us of their presence in any part of this world."

"Okay. But how are we going to go about that?" Ethena asked as she looked at Aerracles with a puzzled expression in her face.

"I don't know. But I think there is something that I can come up with just for that purpose." Aerracles said with a less confident expression in his face, while Ethena only nodded her head.

Then they looked together into the far distance using their powerful visions and could only shake their head with sombre expressions appearing in their faces.

"These people actually chose to wipe out entire cities consisting of thousands of ordinary mortals. What unbridled wickedness." Ethena said with anger fully evident on her previously calm face.

While Aerracles who floated just beside her, said with rage concealed in his voice, "To be sincere, I wish I was powerful enough to take on many Lord Immortals at once. I will just dash straight into your world and wreak unmatched havoc on the Fire God Hall and his allies for the sinister schemes that they have for this world just because of your presence here. Ugh!"

"I also feel the same way, Aerracles. I wish I was already really strong and powerful to take on Lord Immortals, I will fly straight into my world from the boundless void and deliver ten thousand times the level of destruction that they unleashed here in this world on their damned Fire God Hall and the hall of their puppeteered accomplices." Ethena said with raging fire burning at the far depth of her two shiny and beautiful eyes.

"Now that this city has been turned to nothing but ruins and deep craters, what are we to do?" Aerracles asked as he looked at Ethena who was actually finding it a bit difficult to return to her previous calmness. She just couldn't seat with the fact that millions of innocent and ordinary lives had been extinguished just because of her presence in their world.

Then after thinking for sometime over what Aerracles said, she looked at him and said seriously, "Perhaps it's time we start overseeing the affairs of this world, instead of just living low-key lives to hide away the earth-shaking identities that we possess. Then us as nothing but incomparable gods or divinities in this world, and as people who are fully against the unbridled destructive activities of some set of shallow-minded, highly wicked people from my race, it's time to take up the mantles as the divine protectors or guardians of this world."

"We definitely can't allow those people to come here again and wreak havoc and devastation as they please, with the lame excuse of trying to draw me out to slay me."

"So, as watchmen and guardians of this world which we have chosen to become a home for our child, we definitely have to do everything in our power to protect it. We will slay whoever comes from any of the worlds out there and would so much try to threaten the peace, serenity and calmness of this world." Ethena said while Aerracles who listened attentively to her, nodded his head in full agreement to all the things that she mentioned.

He then said with utmost seriousness in his face, "Yes, Ethena. That's the only way forward. Only by choosing to be demonstrative godly protectors of this world, would we be able to truly keep and preserve the beauty and aesthetic riches that it has. Or if everything get leveled up because of our negligence and then turned to desolate lands and empty, voided regions, how would our child be able to grow properly?"

Immediately Aerracles finished uttering that, he asked looking at Ethena, "When are we to begin the announcement of us as Protector Divinities of this world? Right this moment? Or we should leave it till tomorrow, since the mortals wouldn't have gotten over the sudden countless deaths and shocking degree of havoc caused by the Immortals from the Fire God Hall?"

"I think it's better we announce that to them this very moment. It will be great for them to know that the Immortals had been stopped, and that they have been reduced to nothing but headless or strewn corpses now lying about on the ground. Or the mortals will only keep thinking in fear and horror and can only wait for their impending deaths as defenseless lambs for the slaughter." Ethena said with a contemplative look in her face.

She then said further, "Also, it will be great and fabulous to know that they have just gained two supreme-ranked godlike entities that will surely look over their world and prevent the terrible thing that happened many moments ago from ever recurring."

"We will make them know and believe that we are for them, and that we will do virtually everything in our power to protect each and everyone of their cities from the pillaging, marauding and destruction caused by those vile beasts and monsters outside their world." Ethena said with a solemn and highly determined look in her face.

"Awesome! That's just awesome, Ethena. I like this." Aerracles said and then applauded her with a slight smile appearing in his face.

He then said further, "Well, I guess you will need my help in spreading those bits of information across the entire world of Mortals. So, let me get right to it."

Immediately Aerracles finished saying that, he abruptly held Ethena by her right hand and then shot upward towards a greater altitude in the sky to produce this powerful projection sphere that will cause Ethena's angelic voice to echo clearly all over the vast and wide mortal world.
